Autumn at H&M Home

While in Helsinki I visited the H&M Home store, and they had a huge banner on the window about new stuff. It had a picture of a gorgeous pillow with a raven on it, but sadly they didn't have it in the shop yet. I found it online a few days later and just had to get it. Since the raven didn't really match the other pillows we have in the bedroom, I decided to change them all. My other half loved the raven too, so we just chose a few other pillows to match it.

The raven pillow is printed canvas. The print has warm brown shades in it, but not too much, it still goes well with black.

All of the new pillows. There's one with black PVC on one side and white canvas on the other, and a black satin pillow.

And one of the old pillows I in the end kept, it's also from H&M Home but I've had it for years. I might get a few more of the black satin pillows, since they are so pretty and don't seem to attract much cat hair!

Outfit of the Day

Well, sorta ;D Yesterday I went playing laser tag at Megazone with some friends. I had played the game last time more than ten years ago, so my skills were maybe a bit rusty, but our team still won both rounds (no thanks to me but I'm still proud ;P)! I'm not very sporty, so today my thighs are aching from all the crouching action in the game. While I don't enjoy shooter games on the computer, I love them IRL. The adrenaline rush, sneaking, coming up with tactics, trying to communicate with team mates silently all just make the game so much fun. Thanks to Minna for organizing the event, I hope you'll do it again another time, I'll be the first one in line to join!

Sweaty and in front of the soda freezer! I lost the ball of my
medusa piercing, but it had been a bit loose for some time, totally
my own fault. And I already have a new ball for it!

Comp Trouble!

My computer is having a fit, so today I'll present you with a picture of a bored cat from my phone.

Outfit of the Day

This one is from yesterday, we went shopping for some boxes to get the cupboards organized.

Top - H&M
Shorts - Cubus
Sandals - Seppälä

The top is new, I already have a dress and a skirt with this print, but it was so pretty that I totally needed the top too. I think it's a little bit too long, I might get my sewing machine out and shorten it a bit to make it fit better. It's a nice flowing material and cool on these hot days!

Outfit of the Day

Yesterday evening my other half and I went out for few beers, since it was so nice and warm. I've been down with a slight cold and I'm going crazy just sitting inside (well, we do have Netflix and a huge bookcase, but I've watched all the episodes of Bridezillas and finished the book I was reading ;P) so I really needed to get out! Today is much better, I really want to be able to work with full efficiency on Monday because there's a lot of interesting stuff happening at the office. But on to the outfit, it was an excellent choice for having a few beers while sitting outside!

Dress - H&M
Cardigan - Nanso
Shoes - eBay
Bag - H&M

The cardigan is new, the Nanso shop downstairs from our apartment was having a sale and since I love flowy black things, this one found a new home in my cupboard. It was for half price and the material feels really nice, I'm hoping it will serve me well for many years. The front is open with draping fabric on the sides, and in the back there's a belt hidden on the inside, so it gives a nice waistline still. And I think the belt looks really nice as it adds detail to the front too! The shoes are from eBay, I got them in the spring.

I managed to add a Facebook widget on the blog (it was a pain!), so you can easily like the Facebook page to receive notifications of new posts to your newsfeed :)

Here's finally the giveaway to celebrate 500 readers. I want to thank you all, knowing I have such wonderful readers is a great encouragement to keep writing! I took the time to make a Facebook page for the blog, so it would be easier for people to always see when a new post is out. The page can be found here, please feel free to like it!

Edit: The giveaway is now closed, thanks for participating!

To enter the giveaway, comment on this post and tell me what kind of posts do you like the most in my blog! For an extra entry, share a link to the giveaway in your blog and comment again with the link. Please remember that the link should be a new comment just to make my life a lot easier!

The giveaway is open internationally and will close on 12.8.2013.

But now on to the prizes! I bought some items from Germany, the eyeshadows were ordered from the States and there's jewellery made by me. The winner gets a package containing:

A purple glittery bat necklace from Claire's.
Skin Gems pack from Claire's (I was sad to notice one gem had come loose in the package, but all the rest seem to be fine).
A Lips2Last liquid lipstick by Manhattan is bright red.
A black "French Manicure Pen", which is a nailpolish pen meant for doing decorations, it has a nice small tip.
"Brine" eyeshadow sample from Detrivore Cosmetics (Detrivore samples are huge!)
"Throwing Stones" eyeshadow sample from Darling Girl Cosmetics
Clock hand earrings by me.
Ribcage cameo necklace by me.
Four eyeshadows by Darling Girl. The shades are Haute Berry, Faux Pas, Eclipse and Elvin Magic.

A pile of stuff!

Clock hand earrings and the ribcage necklace. I really like the earrings, I have a pair myself and they are so light it feels
like you aren't wearing anything on your ears!

Skin Gems. There's the stupid one that's gotten loose from the base. I have a pack of these and just love the colour scheme.

Bat necklace. I got one of these for me, too ;P It was just too gorgeous to pass, I need everything that's purple, glittery and bat-shaped!

Darling Girl eyeshadows. These are the petit sized shadow, but they have quite a lot of product and come sealed with sifters. Haute Berry was a gift with purchase when I ordered these.

French Manicure Pen and Lips2Last lipstick. Once again I have both of these for myself too! The manicure pen draws neat, thin lines and the colour is opaque. The Lips2Last lipsticks have been my favourites, I'm too lazy to touch up my lips during the day but these just stay on and barely need any attention.

Sample baggies. I tossed these in because both were such lovely shades and I own these already, now someone else can enjoy them!

Good luck with the giweaway and thanks for reading my blog!

My Other Half and I

Here's a few pictures from the lovely wedding a few weeks ago. Sari was so nice and snapped a few pics of us, they came out really well! I did the editing on these.

We just had our third anniversary, and while it hasn't always been a walk in the park, things are going very well at the moment! I'm so happy I've found such a lovely, wise and sophisticated person who shares many of my interests. And is also gorgeous. And is a brilliant chef, I suck at cooking so it's great that he's into it ;D
