Smoky Eye with Glitter Look
Here's a look done with a smoky base of Blackened Violet by The Body Needs and glitter in Kaleidoscope by Darling Girl on top. A surprisingly easy look to do, and still very dramatic. Blackened Violet blends into a pinkish tone when worked very thin, I think it compliments my eye colour nicely. I paired the smoky eye with a classic red lipstick, this one is by Manhattan.

Photoshoot Look With Glitter
Here's a few close-ups from the look I did for the corset photoshoot! I've been wanting to try glitter on top of eyeshadow, but I was worried any glitter glue might mess up the shadow beneath. Thanks to the advice from a few lovely ladies at a Facebook group, I finally dared to to give it a try :)
The look has a faux crease to make my eyes look bigger, and false lashes to give some extra depth to the look. I think the glitter worked excellent, it's shiny and makes the crease look more believable.
I used:
Sugarpill Mochi (minta green, on the lid)
Sugarpill Tako (matte white, on brow bone and inner corner)
Sugarpill Bulletproof (matte black, for the faux crease)
Darling Girl Caribbean Cutie glitter (blue and gold glitter)
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (to hold the glitter in place)
Urban Decay Primer Potion (to prime the lid for shadow)
Sugarpill Saint false lashes
Black mascara
Manhattan Lips2Last long lasting lipstick in a hot pink shade

London Calling Look
This is Darling Girl Cosmetics' London Calling, the blue I never thought to find! I'm usually not a big fan of blues, but chose to order this one since it actually looked very burgundy in the shop picture. I'm glad I did, because it's gorgeous! The pink-copper sheen on indigo base looks great and makes the eyeshadow really complex, it looks like I have more than one shade on my lids. I did put some shimmery white in the inner corners, but the blue alone looks like blue and purple and red depending on the angle.
As a side note, London has been calling me lately! I've wanted to visit Stonehenge for a long time and recently read an article that there was a new visitor's center constructed next to it. I've been to London a few times, but it's been years since the last visit. Maybe this summer London could be an option for a vacation :)

New Year's Look
On New Year's Eve we went out to eat with some friends and then spent the evening at our place. Fun and easy! I even saw some fireworks from the balcony ;P
I got this hair band ages ago but wore it for the first time. It's from Janine Basil Etsy store and so neat! They carry coloured versions now, too, they look cool :)
For my eyes I tried some Darling Girl eyeshadows that arrived the very same day. I used way too many colours for this look. I was first going for a simple neutral eye, but got wild! There's watercolor paint pot in Falling Light (shimmery champagne) as the base, then a layer of My Three Witches (medium metallic taupe) and a dab of Persuasion (lavender with a cold golden sheen) on the inner corner. Then I added some London Calling (dark blue with red glitter) on the lower lid and decided the crease was too light and darkened it with Black Moon (dark taupe with a hint of olive and green and red glitter).
After putting a ton of stuff on my lids I decided to even it out with a bright red lipstick, which I think worked nicely ;P

Adoration and Resistance Look (and Natural Brows)
I've been experimenting with natural brows and let them grow back, which also means I've had less time in the morning to do my eyeshadow since I have to get the unruly brows in to order. I still hate them, but I'll try to let them grow just a little bit longer to see if they would magically transform into something I like.
For today's' fast eye look I used Adoration by Darling Girl Cosmetics and Resistance by Detrivore Cosmetics. The shadow on my brows is from a very old L'Oreal palette.

My considerate camera decided the funny little hairs at the end of the brow need to be the focal point of the picture.
Just look at those wonky little bastard brows growing all over the place ;D
I look so pale, even though I have blush on. And my forehead is enormous now that I can't draw brows higher.

Basket Case
This is another one of the Darling Girl eyeshadows. I has accidentally ordered two of the same colour, but Susan was so nice as to ask if that's correct, so I switched one for this wonderful shade. And I'm glad I did! This is Basket Case, a light lavender with a strong blue sheen. Here I've applied it on top of Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, making the colour really pop.
I cut my bangs today after taking the pic, so maybe there won't be hair in all the pictures any more ;P

Pufflin' Shuffle and Adoration Look
I made a small order to Darling Girl cosmetics earlier, and have been trying out the shadows I bought. This is what I wore today, on the lid and brow bone is Adoration, a very pale skin tone shadow with a satin finish, and in the crease is Puffin' Shuffle, a very shimmery grey-ish taupe. Adoration seems like a perfect shade for me to use as a base, it's close to my skin tone and gives a gorgeous finish!

Necronomicon Look
Tonight I'm heading downstairs to a nightclub that hosts the goth club Discotheque Necronomicon. This is my last week of work before my holidays, and I got the permission to start a little later and work from home tomorrow. It was such a nice gesture, I almost never get to go to Necronomicon since it's always in the middle of the week and only starts at eleven. And it's basically next door, since it's two doors down from our apartment house's main door. But now I'm prepared and sipping some cava at home (which was so bubbly it burst all over the kitchen) and ready to do some dancing! Unless it's too hot, which it probably is, since it's 28 degrees Celsius outside right now. Anyway, I got a good excuse to wear a tiny dress and put on some loud make-up, that's enough for me :)
I'm wearing:
Darling Girl Cosmetics Obviously A Wig (dark pink with a blue sheen, in the crease)
Evil Shades Suffocation (light pink with a blue sheen, on the lid)
Sugarpill Darling (medium shimmery turquoise/aqua, on the tearduct)
Sugarpill Bulletproof (matte black, and liner on the outer half of upper lids and on lower lash line)
Black mascara, also used as liner on upper lid
Maybelline 10H Tint Gloss in Timeless Plum

Pohjola Look
Here's my make-up from Saturday!
I wore:
Seedless by Madd Style Cosmetics (light pink with strong green shift, on brow bone and inner corners)
The Nightmare by Femme Fatale (blueish purple with a green shift, on the lid and crease)
Don't Teal Me You Love Me by Darling Girl Cosmetics (purple with a strong turquoise sheen, on the lid padded on top of The Nightmare)
Elise Individual Lashes (these are lash clusters with mixed lash fibers in red, pink and blue)
P2 100% Black waterproof gel liner (as lipstick)

I decided to try gel liner for the lips when I couldn't find my black lipstick (it must be in one of my millions handbags!) and tried to think of a product that would be black and last well on skin. I left the liner coloured lips matte, and they stayed looking good the whole evening. Only once I added a little bit in the center of the lips, but other than that, they didn't need any touch-ups. With a gloss on top the liner could have been more messy but for matte lips I can definitely recommend it!
The lashes were surprisingly hard to capture on the camera, but lasted the whole evening and looked very nice.

Don't Teal Me You Love Me Look
I was totally bummed when I missed Darling Girl Cosmetics' limited edition shade called Don't Teal Me You Love Me. It's a purple with a teal sheen, so my two colours both together! Luckily there was a small batch released later on and I was quick to order it. Here's a look I did with the shadow!
The purple doesn't really show, but the teal sheen is really metallic and striking. I think if I would have blended the shadow more on the lid, the purple would have come out, but I'll have to try that next time. Here's it's patted on with a dry brush and the base is Urban Decay's Primer Potion. There's a dab of Sugarpill Lumi on the tear duct.
I paired the teal shadow with dark lips. This is Maybelline Super Stay 10 H Tint Gloss in Timeless Plum put over a wine-red lip stain for durability.

A Smoky Photoshoot
Got my other half a birthday present, since we are going off to a summer cottage to celebrate his b-day in the weekend. He wanted a water pipe and some fruit tobacco (or what ever you call the fruit stuff that actually doesn't have any tobacco in it), so that's what I got him, the prettiest water pipe in the oriental shop and four packs of different flavoured tobacco. We tried it right away and since the smoke looked so cool, decided to do an improvised photoshoot!
Here's some of the pictures :)
I was going for some oriental courtesan with a satin dressing gown and a PVC-corset.
Look at the pretty chains decorating the pipe! I thought it looked perfect for my other half.
Turns out I totally sucked at trying to exhale the smoke so it would show ;P But then again, I don't smoke regularly, so I haven't gotten much practice!
And a few pics just showing off the makeup and outfit :)
He was much better with the smoke, with his singer's lungs ;)
But look! I got some to show!
And finally the pretty pipe.
The eyeshadow is Obviously A Wig by Darling Girl Cosmetics, with just a hint of Sugarpill Bulletproof in the crease to give depth. The lashes are from Claire's and the lippie is a Maybelline 10h Tint Gloss in Timeless Plum. Sorry about my pink underwear, I was too lazy to take it off and tried to adjust the gown so it wouldn't show, but apparently failed ;P

Beholder and Phantom Look
I wore this yesterday, it's done with Fyrinnae Beholder and Darling Girl Cosmetics Phantom of the Taupera. The Phantom is a really nice shade, it actually has a blue sheen but my camera didn't pick it up well. A very wearable neutral look. I usually don't edit my pictures that much, just fix the colours and contrast and hide blemishes and stray hairs, or very noticeable dark undereyes. Today I talked about editing pictures with my boyfriend, so I tried a few techniques that I knew already and thought I'd show you how it looks!

Vixen Look
Today I wanted a purple smokey eye, so I tried one of the Darling Girl Cosmetics' samples I have. For some weird reason Vixen went on looking really blue, instead of the dark purple it is (see my swatch here), but it's still very pretty. I think it has to do with me doing the swatches in the darkest winter without natural light. I also tried doing the whole eye make-up with only a blending brush and it worked really nice, it was easy to do the smokey effect.
I'm wearing:
Missha Perfect Cover BB-cream in nro. 13
Evil Shades Matte Silk powder
Lumene Sweet Blush
Darling Girl Cosmetics Vixen
Sugarpill Tako
Sugarpill Bulletproof (on the brows)
