Outfit of the Day

A busy Saturday! I did all the work that had piled up during the week and then headed out to my parents' summer cottage to pick some berries and mushrooms. Got a ride back in my dad's covertible, which was awesome!

The first make-up I wore aften the lasik surgery, yay for seeing things without glasses and wearing mascara!

Fire in the Night

Yesterday night there were things happening all over the city. I had planned to go see a roller derby match and then a fire show, but sadly the roller derby got cancelled because of heavy rain. But instead I went to have a beer with friends, which was fine also!

The rain let up later so the fire show did happen! They had a steampunk theme and wonderful outfits, and even a fancy robot! My other half took the pictures, I was too short to get the camera high enough ;P

Teal Glitter Nails

More nails! Wearing no eye make-up for a week makes me focus on my nails a lot more ;D These ones have a skin-tone base once again. I used 43 Puff powder by GinaTricot. Their nail polishes are surprisingly high quality. The glitter is essence Effect Nail Polish 06 Party in a Bottle. I don't think I've used it ever before, but it worked very nicely for this glitter gradient, because it has lots of small glitter that can easily be layered.

Shimmery Stiletto Nails

These nails were done on a whim, I had plenty of time (and new episodes of Toddlers and Tiaras ;P) and just wanted to relax and paint my nails. I started with a skin-tone polish, then painted the edges of each nail with a slightly shimmery purple polish. It was quite thin so it took many layers to get the purple opaque. When the purple was dry, I felt the white tip of my own nails showed too much, so I topped it all with a flakie topcoat, I think this was Essie Shine of the Times. The pictures were taken when the polish was a few days old, thus the tip wear.

Kitty Cats!

I bought a new lens for my camera on discount, and turns out it's the best kind of lens: the type that's perfect for taking photos of cats ;D I thought I took pics of all the kitties, but apparently Magnus is just so photogenic that most of his pictures came out great.

Magnus is a big boy now. He's soon a year old. That's Mör all foggy in the front!

Magnus in the sun. He has this exquisite shimmer in his coat that comes out in sunlight, it's impossible to capture but apparently should proves that he's a purebred bengal cat. It really doesn't matter, he can't go to cat shows anyway and he's a dear no matter what his genes are, but the glitter sure is pretty!

Nana looking grumpy as usual. She's turning ten soon and loves to just lounge on anything soft and warm. Humans qualify ;P

Magnus loves my chiffon dress, so he pulled it on the floor from the laundry rack it was drying on and dove right in.

Then he took a thinking break pondering how to get out of the dress ;D

Glowing Green Look

This one is from last week. The pictures were taken when the sun was setting, so they are a little bit too warm. The yellow light cancels out the lavender tones of the light shadow on the lid. The look turned out quite dramatic!

I used:
Femme Fatale Banshee Scream (very pale lavender with a green sheen, on the inner corners and lid)
Shiro Cosmetics Steve. (bright turquoise, on the outer lid, inner lower lid and in the lower part of the crease)
Femme Fatale Ultimate Wizards (blackened purple with purple microglitter, in the crease and outer lower lid, the colour lost most of the glitter when I blended it so it looks just plain dark)

Outfit of the Day

My outfit from last week! I got lasik surgery for my eyes today so I'm hanging out at home with no make-up on. I did take lots of cat pictures, so maybe I'll show those tomorrow ;P I wore this outfit for an outing with friends. The shoes are new, they are from Lidl and were on discount (only six euros!), and I needed black, easy to wear flats. I just felt like I had shrunk, because I usually always wear heels ;D

My other half is getting ready to leave for a Hocico performance, I'm so envious! But my eyes are recovering surprisingly well, they are not bloodshot or anything, just dry. So here's to hoping I might be able to go out and do stuff already tomorrow :)
