These nails were done on a whim, I had plenty of time (and new episodes of Toddlers and Tiaras ;P) and just wanted to relax and paint my nails. I started with a skin-tone polish, then painted the edges of each nail with a slightly shimmery purple polish. It was quite thin so it took many layers to get the purple opaque. When the purple was dry, I felt the white tip of my own nails showed too much, so I topped it all with a flakie topcoat, I think this was Essie Shine of the Times. The pictures were taken when the polish was a few days old, thus the tip wear.
The purple colour looks amazing with the topcoat!! :) So pretty!

DeleteIhan sun näköiset :)
ReplyDeleteKiitos! On kyllä just sellaiset värit mitä usein käytän!
DeleteThey're beautiful! But how do you get your nail polish to stay so long? I have a lot more wear and tear just a few hours after application than what you have after a few days!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think it's down to my nails' natural PH and the use of Seche Vite top coat. The top coat makes the polish a little bit "rubbery", so it bends with then ail rather than cracks or chips.
DeleteOh my~ ompas upeat! ❤
