Since I have really light lashes, I like to dye them to not look like a cancer patient when not wearing makeup. My boyfriend is so nice that he puts the dye on and he's really good with it! I use black eyebrow/eyelash dye by Depend, it's called 40 Day Mascara.

As you can see, my lashes are pretty much the albino type ;P Very light and the lightest part is at the roots, where it's hard on get mascara on them. But now on to the after pics! After letting the dye sit for 30 minutes and washing it off, this is what I got:

Pretty visible change, don't you think? The dye lasts on the lashes for maybe four weeks, then I'll dye them again when I'm not too lazy. The dye fades off rather than grows out, and there no phase where it looks weird or anything, the lashes just gradually become lighter.
I definitely need to try this, if I can ever find a eyelash dyeing kit out here!
ReplyDeleteAmazon carries them, I think!
DeleteI've tried but the lower lashes seem to smudge on me so I have black colour on my lower lashline too. So I've given up :D
ReplyDeleteI use the paper shields that come with the kit, they just need to be cut to fit my eye shape. Then some vaseline under them and they stay put when painting the dye on with a small brush.
DeleteMy lashes are also very light and I was thinking several times about dyeing. Maybe I will try it :))
ReplyDeleteTry it! It's really just so easy to wake up and look decent instead of taking time to put mascara on :)
DeleteWow, I never knew you could dye your eyelashes! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteApparently it's not so popular in the states! Might be that since Finnish people are so light, we use tons of dyes to get our hairs visible ;P
DeleteOh that looks great! I need to see if I can buy this around here!
ReplyDeleteHope you can find it! Amazon might have it.
DeleteHow careful do you have to be? I know I'm scared to death when I decide to dye my eyebrows, I can't imagine doing this! You look like you know what you're doing, though ^_^
ReplyDeleteThe dye is really gentle, at least on my eyes it doesn't sting when it's not touching the eyes (like hair dye can smell so much your eyes water, this dye doesn't) and even if you would get some in your eye, it's not dangerous. You just wash it off with water if you get some in.
DeleteWe are totally opposite!! I am asian and I really love colour make up, applying those colour mascara like purple blue green but the problem is they don't look like its colour, everything looks just black.. I was considering to have bleach my lashes...
