Outfit of the Day

My outfit from yesterday! I was supposed to go to a blog meet and a friend's house warming party, but apparently I still don't know my limits and ended up being too tired because I hoovered the apartment and went out to listen to bands on Friday. I having a hard time understanding that I still need to take it easy because it really takes a long time to recover from pneumonia. There's just so much interesting things to do!

On Friday I also popped to H&M. I read Leena's post on her blog Luurankoja Kaapissa about her fall wish lists, and saw a cape I liked. I looked at capes last year but didn't get one, which I kinda regretted. This time I figured a cape might work really well with my wardrobe, because I like to wear tops with a low neckline, and my favourite leather jacket has the same type of cut, which makes me need a scarf to go with it. The turtle necked cape covers my neck and décolletage, which are the parts that need warmth while outside, and isn't too warm for walking around the city.

Looks like my favourite place to shop is pretty apparent ;D This autumn H&M has plenty of "nu-goth" style clothing which appeals to me, so I go there occasionally to see what new items they have. I very much like the high-waisted skirts and cropped tops that are now in fashion. 

The cape might need a bit of ironing! It has pockets and there are hidden ribbons inside that work as sort of arm holes and keep the cape in place even if it's open in the front. It has buttons in the front and the collar isn't too snug. I expect it will look very smart with a colourful scarf too, if I feel like wearing one!
