Lumous Warm-Up

Yesterday Lumous started with a warm-up club. Previous years there has been a sauna event before the club, so we decided to organize our own sauna this year. My other half tirelessly made a Facebook event and guided the guests to the spot. The sauna was hot and nice, a perfect way to start a festival! We continued to the club just in time to see the first band, Harmony Garden. I really liked their gig and even bought their album :) The second performer was Jemek Jemowit from Berlin. I had forgotten my earplugs at home (silly me, I use three hand bags often and the one I had with me was the only one without earplugs) and he played really loud, so I had some trouble enjoying the performance. Other than that, the evening was great! Lots of friends and good music.

I wore a breeze dress, since it was a really hot day. The dress used to be a halterneck, but I really don't wear those often, so I modified it a bit. I put a short puffy skirt underneath to keep my booty hidden and make the skirt bigger.

Dress - Hell Bunny
Underskirt - Dead Threads
Belt - Sokos
Shoes - Pennangalan (second hand)

    1. Kiitos paljon! Luonnonvalo on kyllä ihanaa kuvatessa, pitäisi useammin vaivautua ulos kameran kanssa :)

  3. That dress is soooo cute!! Little zombie unicorns! The skirt underneath makes it look even better, I wouldn't have even known it was two separate articles of clothing had you not told us! xxx

    1. Belts fit it really well! I think the waistline is a bit too high for my body, so I just fix it with a wide belt. I feel like the dress is so much easier to wear as non-halterneck.

    2. Just curious how did you modify it? My sis is a bit more fancy with the sewing machine so if you do explain I think she'll understand :)

    3. I just sewed the halter neck straps to the back of the dress, it's really easy. You just have to measure carefully that the straps are the same length an sit well on your shoulders. I think I also cut off a ruffle from the neckline, but I can't remember.

Just for a tip, I still have the leftover fabric from the straps, I thought a small fascinator with a bow from the same fabric would be neat, but just haven't gotten around making it.

  7. It's funny, I have the same dress, and my bottom shows too :( I have to wear leggings with it. It's weird how short it is, but I'm also tall and skinny, so maybe that has something to do with it. You've inspired me to try and make my own petticoat, so maybe someday I can wear it without leggings!
