Plum and Blue Look

Here's my look from Friday! I spent the weekend participating in the Global Game Jam 2013, where people around the world made games in just 48 hours. Very fun and here's a link to the game my team made, it's an exercise game for Android phones called PaceQuest.

I wanted to do a cool purple and blue look Sugarpill Cosmetics shared on Facebook (I'm sorry, I can't find the link!).

I used:
Sugarpill Poison Plum (a warm plum purple, in the crease and blended upwards, also on lower lid)
Sugarpill Afterparty (a bright blue, on the lid and on the lower lashline)
Sugarpill Tako (a plain matte white, on the inner corners and brow bone)

I tried to get a full face shot, but it was hard with the lens I had on.
This one was still a nice looking shot!

Now I'm packing my suitcase to leave for Iceland! I'll be on a business trip until Sunday, it's going to be busy but I packed my laptop so I can update the blog if I have any spare time. I'm also preparing a giveaway to celebrate my blog's birthday and 400 readers, so I'll keep my eyes open for some exotic Icelandic goodies to get you guys!

  1. Wow, this looks great! I wish I could pull this off, but I feel like blues don't look as well on brown eyes. Maybe it will because it's brighter, though!

    1. Thank you! I think certain shades of blue work very well with brown eyes, like greenish shades go with warm brown eyes and deeper royal blues should work with brown eyes that have olive shades.

  2. Awesome pairing of colors.
I wish I was less blue challenged.

    1. Thanks! I'm pretty blue challenged, but somehow the Sugarpill pressed blues are less scary ;P And pairing with purple always seems to take the edge off of blue.

  4. Lovely eyeshadow colors! I have a palette by AVON that has the same vibrant colors (purple, dark purple, blue and silver). I usually put the purples on the upper lid and the blue on the lower lid. Then I add an hint of silver in the corner! Makes a very beautiful effect on the eyes :)
