Another shot from yesterday! I wore Deranged by Black Moon Cosmetics for the first time and loved it. It's a dramatic dark red, perfect for classic evening looks or to be paired with dark smoky eyes for a more gothic twist. The lipstick did not bleed and only needed one touch up during the whole day. I also like how re-applying on top of the old lipstick layer does not make the product crumble on lips. It's a but more dry with a second layer, but not too dry.
I'm wearing Concrete Minerals Lolita on my lids to give just a hint of colour. I had no time for a dark smoky, light ones are much faster and easier!

Demon Hunter Look
First of all a big thanks to everyone who voted for me, I won the cosplay contest! I'm so happy and proud, thanks for helping me achieve this! I'm already dreaming of what costume I should do next, I think my enthusiasm for crafts really pays off in this hobby ;D
For the Demon Hunter cosplay, I naturally did a make-up look that I felt fit the character well. I did my regular base with BB-cream and powder, did some contouring with a grey-brown eyeshadow all over the face (the camera doesn't seem to pick it up very well). For the eyes I wanted a neutral smoky eye that would bring out my white contact lenses nicely but not look too made up. I chose a medium matte taupe from the Revealed palette by Coastal Scents, and darkened the crease with Doe-eyed by Concrete Minerals and brow bone accent is Sugarpill's Tako, a matte white. Very simple but effective! On top of those there's only black gel liner and mascara.
The lips are done with a Born Pretty matte long lasting lipstick that's very close to my natural lip shade. I wanted to define the lips but not make them look like there's actual lipstick on, because in pictures of the Demon Hunter she seems to have natural lips. I knew I needed some extra oomph for the stage as bright light would make my natural lips look too pale, so a matte natural shade it was.
The finished eye make-up with the lenses!

The Demon Hunter has short dark hair, so I did black brows to match. This picture is taken after the contest, so the brows are a little bit faded because my hood was in the face and rubbing on them. I actually quite like the cropped simple hair on me, I think I'll use this wig again some day!
Here's a few shots taken before I put the contact lenses on. I only applied them at the convention venue, because they do obscure my sight a bit. Everything looks a bit misty when seen through the lenses, so I would not dream of putting on make-up with the lenses in place.
The finished eye make-up with the lenses!

Soft Look and Curls
I went to Helsinki for a friend's birthday party on Saturday. I wanted to wear light shades on my face, and grabbed my trusted taupes to create a soft look with a defined crease. I paired light eyes with a my-lip-but better shade of Manhattan Lips2Last, it's a shimmery mauve shade.
I used:
Concrete Minerals - Doe-Eyed (dark brown)
Fyrinnae - Moonchild (pearlescent champagne)

I look so serious ;D I did take smiley pics too, but they all looked retarded, sorry!
The curls were done with a tapered Remington curling wand. My other half helped, I have so much hair that doing the back of the head is a pain! I really like the wand, it's fast and easy, and my hair holds curls made with it very well.

Kismet and Tapir Look
Today I wanted to wear some eyeshadow, since I've been staying home sick a few days and I'll be bored to death if that continues ;D Luckily today I was well enough to head to the office, I have lots of interesting things I'm working on.
I used Fyrinnae Tapir, a matte deep purple/burgundy in the crease, and Kismet, a medium pink with golden shimmer from Concrete Minerals on the lid. There's also a touch of Sugarpill Tako on the tear ducts and brow bones, it's a plain matte white.

Turquoise Braid
It's been so dark that it's hard to get decent pictures! When I leave for work, it's dark-ish, and the sun sets at five, and I'm usually home at five earliest. Damn Finnish seasons! But here's a few shots with my look from today.
I'm wearing Concrete Minerals Lolita, a lovely light taupe, and just black mascara and a my-lips-but-better shade of lip stain. A little blush too.

Concrete Minerals, Femme Fatale and Fyrinnae Swatches
More swatches! This time the shadows are purchased from Femme Fatale and Fyrinnae.
Fyrinnae - Shinigami. This is one of those shadows that look boring in the pot but come to life on skin! A cool, dark purple base with multicoloured microglitter is really unique and very pretty.
Concrete Minerals Unity, Fyrinnae Shinigami, Fyrinnae Tapir and Fyrinnae Wicked.
Femme Fatale - Faerie Fire. This is a very light pinkish lavender with a strong green sheen. The shift is greener and more obvious on a dark base and turns into light and gold-toned when on light skin. I like to use this eyeshadow to dust on darker shadows to give then a gorgeous green shift.
Fyrinnae - Parental Advisory. Despite the very blue apperance in the picture, this shade actually is purple. It's blue-based and looks very blue from some angles, but it's a dark purple with a hint of a pink sheen.
Fyrinnae - Wicked. This is an interesting shade, it has a reddish plum purple base with a strong blue shift. In the pot in looks almost grey when the blue and plum mix, but on skin it's a very dark purple with a noticeable blue sheen on top.
Fyrinnae - Tapir. This one is from the endangered animals collection, I think. It's a matte plum purple, very warm and reddish, going close to brown.
Concrete Minerals - Unity. A light purple with some subtle silver glitter. Very usable and goes with many pinks!

Blue and Pink Look
This is my look from yesterday. It was inspired by the look in this post's last picture. I rarely wear bright pink and am a bit vary of blues, but still wanted to try them both together! My pink seems a lot darker than what DeadlyDame used, but I think the look came out nice anyway. Might try it again with a lighter pink someday!
I used:
Sugarpill Dollipop (brigh matte pink, on the lid)
Sugarpill Afterparty (medium blue with a hint of shimmer, in the crease and blended up, on top of Bruise on lower lashline)
Concrete Minerals Bruise (very dark matte blue, in the deepest crease and on lower lashline topped with Afterparty)

I should really dye my lashes or maybe try to apply eyeliner generously to hide the white roots.

Rainbow Look
I got my Concrete Minerals order on Thursday, so I just had to try on the shadows on Saturday. A friend's company was having their new office's house warming party with a futuristic theme. I opted for my crazy orange shoes and did a colourful eyeshadow look too, just to balance my all-black outfit.
I got 8 Pro-Matte shadows and one regular. I've ordered from the company before, when they were previously only on Etsy and had sample sizes available. I liked the quality then and now! Bright matter shadows are hard to come by, especially ones that are very pigmented and easy to blend. The colours also seemed to work together very well. So here's my over-the-top rainbow look, done just because I loved all the colours ;P

Mint and Chocolate Look
I had seen this look by Madam Noire earlier, and the name stuck to my head. I really liked the colours too, dark browns look nice with my eyecolour and light aqua is just gorgeous. So, here's my look from today, loosely based on Madam Noire's!
I used:
Sugarpill Mochi (light aqua/turquoise, on the lid)
Concrete Minerals Doe-eyed (dark cool brown, in the crease, blended up and on lower lid)
Sugarpill Tako (matte white, in the inner corners and on brow bone)

Book of the Dead Look
This is my look from yesterday, I wanted to use Book of the Dead by Fyrinnae which I got a while ago, so I picked other colours to go with it. Book of the Dead is a gorgeous golden colour with small blue and teal glitter. I'm bummed that I didn't remember to take an outfit photo, I wore a shirt my mom brought me from New York, it has a glittery spider on it. It's bling and goth at the same time ;P
I used:
Eyes
Fyrinnae Book of the Dead (on the lid
Fyrinnae Damn Paladins (inner part of lids)
Concrete Minerals Doe-eyed (crease, blended up)
Face
Missha Perfect Cover BB-cream in nro. 13
Evil Shades Matte Silk powder
Elf blush in Glow
Lips
Gosh lipstain in 003 Berry

Last Rays of the Sun
I've been celebrating Easter by eating heaps and playing Dragon Age II. I say it's an excellent way to spend almost any holiday ;P Today my other half and me did a quick photoshoot in the living room just before the sun went down (well, so low the opposite building covers it, but still). I wore Concrete Minerals Jezebel smoky eyes and Gosh lipstain in Berry, with some Evil Shades China Doll blush.
By the way, the lace body and hotpants cost 2,5 euro from the fleamarket, both excellent finds! I haven't been kind to the body and it has a small tear on the side, but it's easily fixed. The necklace is from Seppälä and cost 3 euro, if I remember correctly. Earrings are from eBay and the shoes by Iron Fist.
On to the pictures!

This one is my favourite, also featuring Nana's ass.

Dark Purple Smoky Look
I did another smoky eye, deciding I'll put the colour really high this time, because when it stops too low above the crease, my heavy lidded eyes can look tired. I think I did pretty well!
I used:
Concrete Minerals Jezebel (on whole lid, crease and above crease)
Sugarpill Bulletproof (on the lid on top of Jezebel)
Sugarpill Tako (on browbone and inner corners)
Gosh lipstain 003 Berry
