Soft Purple and Pink Look

I wore this look to just play board games with friends after Christmas. I wanted to do a bold lip colour after wearing just natural shades for a few days while spending time with family.

I used:
Moi Minerals Venus (medium pink)
Femme Fatale Exorcism (medium purple with a green shift)
Sugarpill Tako (matte white)
Mascara and gel liner
Inglot gel liner in purple (on brows)
Pretty Zombie Cosmetics Three Witches matte lipstick

Purple and pink really compliment the green in my eyes!

And look what a gorgeous pair of earrings my sister gave me for Christmas!

Sleepy Hollow, Javan Rhino and Venus Look

Yesterday evening I saw the lovely Luna of Toxid-Lotus post her wonderful look and boy was I inspired! In addition to going shopping for a few colours she used, I did a look today that has kind of the same feel to it, but it's a bit lighter and done with things I had available right away.

I used:

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Fyrinnae Sleepy Hollow (dark teal, in the crease)
Fyrinnae Javan Rhino (bright baby blue with a hint of turquoise ans a pink sheen, on the outer part of the lid and on lower lash line)
Moi Minerals Venus (medium shimmery pink, on the inner part of the lid and lower lid below the lash line)
Sugarpill Tako (matte white, on inner corners and brow bone)
Kohl pencil
Black gel liner
Black mascara
Inglot gel liner in purple (on brows)

I've been practising with liner and I think I'm getting a lot better with it! My problem is very blonde lashes, while mascara helps with the tips and lengths, the roots are hard to get black. For this look I applied kohl to the upper water line (basically drawing with the kohl pencil on the strip of skin below your upper lashes) and patted gel liner between the lashes with a small brush before lining the upper lid. The inner upper corner is done with the kohl pencil, but gel might have been a better choice to give less feathering.

And smiley full face shot! I'm wearing Sephora cream lip stain to go with the brows.

Teal Liner Look

Moar colour! I said before doing this look ;D I originally got the teal liner to do my brows with back when I had turquoise hair. It's a gorgeous shade so it would be a shame to let it go to waste. The other shades are Moi Minerals' Pluto, a dark purple in the crease, Shiro Cosmetics' Steve, a bright turquoise, and Rapunzel Had Extensions by Fyrinnae. It's a peachy shade with a gold sheen. Pluto was a bit too cold for my taste with the other colours, so I padded a hint of Princess of Darkness by Fyrinnae on top of it. It's a very red purple, so together with Pluto it was perfect. The liner is by Inglot.

Moi Minerals Pluto, Fyrinnae Rapunzel Had Extensions and Shiro Cosmetics Steve. Missing from the picture is Fyrinnae Princess of Darkness.

Steve on the lid, Pluto + Princess of Darkness in the crease and Rapunzel Had Extensions in the inner corner and brow bone for a soft, warm glow.

I've been engrossed in a dress project for the last few days, I'm making a fancy chiffon dress to wear at a convention next weekend. I forgot that I HATE sewing chiffon. Good that I only have 8 meters of it...

Moi Cosmetics Swatches

I wanted to try a new swatching style with eyeshadows, and these shadows from Moi Cosmetics have been sitting in my "to write about" box for months. So, here you go, colours from Moi Cosmetics!

From left to right: Diego, FarAway, GoldMine and Babylon

Same as above. Diego, FarAway, GoldMine and Babylon.
Diego - a medium taupe with a strong blue shift.
FarAway - Dark grey base with multicoloured glitter, like a little lighter version of Sugarpill Stella.
GoldMine - An army green base with gold and orange glitter.
Babylon - A deep dark blue with pink glitter.

Night Shift, Shiner, Eggplant and Tattle

Same as above, Night Shift, Shiner, Eggplant and Tattle
Night Shift - A black base with pink glitter.
Shiner - burgundy base with silver glitter.
Eggplant - A high beam shadow, as it's called on the site, has a flakey consistency in the jar but goes on smooth. A blackened purple with lots of shimmer.
Tattle - A medium taupe base with pink glitter.

O'baby, Venus (discontinued) and Pluto

Same as above: O'baby, Venus and Pluto

O'baby - A light baby blue, shimmery
Venus - Shimmering medium pink

Friday Night Look

Yesterday I went to listen to a friend who had a DJ gig at a small local bar. The place is called Huurupiilo, it turned out to be a really lovely, cosy little place. DJ Tex Chiller was awesome! It was so much fun listening to good music with friends, many people showed up and since the bar only had around twenty seats, the place was packed ;P

I did a look with Moi Cosmetics shadows, because I really wanted to try out the High Beam sparkly shadows. You can see that winter is creeping in, the pics are pretty dark! I guess I'll just have to get new batteries for the flash.

I used:
Sugarpill Tako (matte white, on brow bone and inner corners)
Moi Cosmetics Venus (a shimmery dark pink, on the inner part of lids)
Moi Cosmetics EggPlant (High Beam shadow, a super shimmery purple, on lids and crease and blended upwards)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner on Zero (black)
Gosh lip stain in 003 Berry (a cool, dark red)
Moi Cosmetics Kiss My Lips lipgloss in Paranormal (light purple with a blue shift)

The gloss was mainly visible as a blue sheen, I really liked it!

Yes, I have a World of Warcraft poster! I backcombed my hair a little. You can really see how well
the Elumen dye holds, I dyed it 2nd of August and it hasn't really faded at all. My roots are
horrible, but I've already ordered a new bottle of dye so I can mix the purple with blue and achieve the
right shade! Can't wait for it to arrive ;P
