Eclipse and Scabbed Wings Look

I wore this simple look to the office this week. I used Eclipse by Scaredy Cat Cosmetics on the whole lid. It's a great light/medium brown eyeshadow but just doesn't work well with my skin tone, I think it's a bit too red. It has a wonderful green shift, but I guess I just have to accept the fact that it's not for me.

The other shade, in the crease, is Scabbed Wings by Black Rose Minerals. I bought the whole Luciferi collection from Duvessa. The colours are lovely, dark, muted shades, but I haven't yet had the time to try all of them. Scabbed Wings is chocolate brown with gold and magenta microglitter.

Whole face, I skipped lipstick that day!

Scaredy Cat Cosmetics

I already wrote about a few eyeshadows I ordered from Scaredy Cat Cosmetics, but here's a view of them all. I really love their packaging, every eyeshadow has a jar with unique stickers, an they all come in triangular jars I haven't seen anywhere else. I was silly an only took pictures of one side of the jars, they have stickers on two sides and you can see the colour of the eyeshadow on the third side. Also the lids are personalized, every one has the Scaredy Cat logo on top and a small strip of sticker that matches the large stickers.

Bear Necessities, Orbital, Y So Sirius, Peacock Blood and Muertos.

Peacock Blood, Bear Necessities, Orbital, Y So Sirius and Muertos.
The jars actually come with sifters, but I like to take them off to get easier access. I like to tap a little amount of the shadow on to the lid and pick it up with a brush from there. Without the sifters it easier to put the excess shadow back without spilling it.

Peacock blood is a blackened burgundy, totally works if you have green eyes!

My camera didn't pick it up well, it's more intense IRL.
Bear Necessities is a golden medium brown. I can imagine it would be gorgeous with blue eyes, but it also works well with darker or lighter browns.

Orbital is a pale taupe with a distinct green-blue sheen. Goes well with Bear Necessities or similar warm browns.

Y So Sirius is also a taupe, but darker and reddish. It's quite hard to describe and I haven't come up with good colour matches yet, but it's a very interesting shade.

Muertos is a dark gunmetal grey with tons of silver sparkle and a hint of blue, green and fuchsia glitter. Like a muted version of Sugarpill Stella, less glittery and more metal-like. And it absolutely has the prettiest label I've seen! It's a sugar skull with cross bones in a black, pink and turquoise colour scheme.

Bled A Peacock Look

Today I tried another Scaredy Cat eyeshadow, one that I had been looking at for some time. This one is called Peacock Blood. It's a dark burgundy colour, and somehow my camera didn't pick it up well. It really boosts my greenish eyes! I feel most Scaredy Cat eyeshadows can be a bit too sheer when applied dry, as I did here, but they make for nice everyday colours, and when applied wet they are really intense.

I was in a hurry so no eyeliner!
For lips, I chose a dark red lip stain and topped it with some gloss. It's Berry 003 by Gosh, one of my favourites!

And a full face. I hate how dark it is, so hard to get decent
pictures!

Scaredy Cat Bear Necessities

Even with the hassle of moving, I managed to make one Black Friday sale purchase. It was from Scaredy Cat Cosmetics that had all eyeshadows for half price and had a few new colours I hadn't seen before.

Here's Bear Necessities on my lids!

The shade was surprisingly golden, I was expecting something more reddish brown, but it's still very pretty! I really like their other brown shade, Dee's Nuts, too :)

Draconian Salvage

Because I was naughty and went to bed with my makeup on, I just freshened it up in the morning and headed straight to work.

There's some Temptress left, but I just put Scaredy Cat Draconia generously on top with a damp brush, added black eyeliner and put some Sugarpill Taco on the inner corners and brow bone. Draconia is such a pretty colour, it's just so sheer I have to always use a mixing medium or a damp brush to make it show properly.

I used:
Concrete Minerals Temptress
Scaredy Cat Draconia
Sugarpill Tako
MAC Blacktrack eyeliner
Kanebo Sensai 38 mascara

There's also some random cheap lipgloss, can't remember what ;)

And sunlight again! You can see it on the wall behind me, right? Spring is coming after all!

Draconia and Temptress

I wanted to do a green smoky eye, so I chose Temptress by Concrete Minerals for the main colour. It's a lovely teal green colour with the same colour sparkle. My blending wasn't perfect, as I did the look in a hurry before rushing off to work, but it still came out pretty nice! I didn't put on eyeliner, the look felt complete without. Eyes only, because I have a cold sore on my lip. The best way to draw attention away from the lips is to do bold eyes ;) And look, sun light, in my pictures!

I used:
Concrete Minerals Temptress (on whole lid and crease)
Scaredy Cat Draconia (inner corners and blending the edges)
Kanebo Sensai 38 mascara

Wedding Fair Look

I tried to do a light eye makeup for the Wedding Fair to match the pale pink corset top of the dress I was modeling. Went a bit over the top, but as always the shades look a lot lighter on camera so I guess it wasn't too bad after all.

This is what I used:

Face
MAC Strobe liquid primer (only on the cheek bones on top of the foundation)
MAC Studio Sculpt foundation
MAC Select Cover-up
Evil Shades blush in China Doll

Eyes
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Sugarpill Tako (on brow bone and inner corners)
Scaredy Cat Pink Elephants (one of my favourite pinks!)
Sugarpill Poison Plum
Sugarpill Bulletproof (to darken the Poison Plum a bit)

Lips
Lumene Lingonberry Lasting Lip Stain & Balm in Eternity (I really like this product, it stays on my lips forever)

Full face, I look a bit stern ;) Also my bangs don't like to stay neat.

This looks a bit darker than in real life.

Here you can see my quickly done bun. I would have wanted it bigger, but didn't know how or have the time to experiment.
