Flyer Photoshoot Look

Yesterday I was at a photoshoot and got to wear my new wig! I bought it from a friend and it's simply gorgeous. In photos it tends to look very blue, but it's actually petrol. But the same happened when my own hair was petrol, so I think it's due to the camera. I need to re-curl the fringe on the wig but otherwise it's as good as new, a great A-line with longer hair in the front and shorter in the back.

The pictures from the shoot will be used for a new flyer for Rogue by Tiina Ulkuniemi, thus I'm wearing some new gear by Tiina! I'll show you the whole outfit later and focus on the make-up now.

I did a dark smoky eye with two shades. Celestial Crow by Glamour Doll Eyes is a dark teal with green glitter. Fyrinnae's Freya is a slightly shimmery purple, lighter than Celectial Crow but not much. For intensity I added some black gel liner and put on false lashes that really open up my eyes well. The brows are done with Inglot gel liner.

To match the dark eyes, I put Fyrinnae's matte liquid lipstick in Desire on my lips. It's a lovely dark purple that goes with many shades.

Inglot gel liner
Red Cherry lashes #600

Can't wait to show you the finished pictures, I loved the outfit! And the horns, of course. I always love to put on some horns ;D I'll get back to sewing now, hopefully I can soon show you the finished kupfer-orange bustle skirt!

WGT Look

Here's one look from WGT! I used Glamour Doll Eyes' Celestial Crow for the outer part of the lid and Femme Fatale's Eternal Trance on the inner part. I don't think I've done a smoky with two equally dark shades before, but I quite like the effect! I did the eye make-up in the morning and put on nude lipstick so I could safely eat without smudging dark lipstick everywhere, but changed into a darker lip shade in the evening. I think the eyes work with both light and dark lips. The light lipstick in the pictures is Essence's Come Naturally, a great nude shade I picked up at a DM in Leipzig. Essence has a whole collection of nudes in different tones, Come Naturally is almost the same shade as my lips naturally are, so I can use it just to smooth them out and give a hint of definition around the edges.

Here's a shot of the look combined with an outfit!

Celestial Crow Look

Celestial Crow is one of the eyeshadows I ordered form Glamour Doll Eyes a while ago. It's quite dark, so I had been saving it for a going-out night. Yesterday I finally took the time wear it, and I'm glad I did! I had a really nice night with my other half, first tasting some weissbeer at a friends, then a quick stop at a bar meeting other friends, then a pizza and eating it at home.

I used:
Cherry Culture Jumbo Eye Pen - Paparazzi (a metallic teal, padded on the lid)
Glamour Doll Eyes - Celestial Crow (dark blue with green microglitter, on the lid and crease)
Evil Shades - Suffocation (light pink with a blue sheen, on the inner corners and as an accent on the outside of the wing)

The lights are so bright I tend to squint in pictures, sorry ;D

Celestial Crow is just the kind of blue that works super well with a cool pink.

Island Chic Fabulous Look

Inspired by Luna's gorgeous look, I shopped at Glamour Doll Eyes. I had a few samples by them that I had bought years ago, but other than that the company was new to me. Here's a look done with two of their eyeshadows, which sadly look like just one shade because I blended them so much ;D

I used:

Glamour Doll Eyes - Fabulous! (medium turquoise with slight shimmer, on the lid)
Glamour Doll Eyes - Island Chic (dark turquioise with a hint of shimmer, in the crease and blended up, on lower lid)
IsaDora - Highlands palette light champagne shade (in the inner corner)
Mac Fluidline - Blacktrack (black get liner, on upper lash line and waterline)
IsaDora Volume & Curl mascara

Pastel Spring Look

This one is from Friday, I was feeling happy with the increasing light and melting snow, so I went for light colours!

I used:
Lime Crime Eyshadow Helper (as a base)
Glamour Doll Eyes Fabulous (light turquoise/blue with shimmer on the outer lid and in crease)
Evil Shades Suffocation (light pink with blue sheen, on the middle of the lid)
Sugarpill Tako (matte white, inner corners and brow bone)
MAC Fluidline Blactrack (matte black gel liner)

Full face shots! These were taken after a day at work, so I'm a bit shiny. Sorry ;P

I put my hair in a side ponytail, it's such an easy look.

I'm finally beginning to understand how long my hair is! I've been growing
it for years, now it's the length I wanted :)

DJing Look

I was really excited when I was asked to DJ at a local fetish event, I was there last year and really liked it. This year they had even more performances, pole dancing, Japanese style bondage and a latex fashion show. Especially the pole dancing looked fabulous, the dancer made it look so easy!

I was there on my own for most of the evening, since my other half was busy (building a trebuchet from Ikea stuff, that is), but I was so happy that I met a lovely lady who reads my blog who I had bumped into at Lumous also. She and her friends took me under their wing, they were so nice! I met an old friend later, it was so nice to see her again, I think it's been over a year since we last saw each other!

I haven't been to many fetish parties, but the thing I really like about them is that everyone is free to dress as they like and people really work to look their best there! This is what I wore for the evening:

Dress - Artifice Clothing
Corset - Artifice Clothing
Tights - Backstreet
Shoes - Pleaser (second hand)
Hair extensions - Some chinese eBay seller ;P

I had worn the dress only to one photoshoot before, it wasn't the colour I expected. Neon pink generally isn't my colour, I like a bit more muted pink to go with plummy purple shades I like. This is what it looked like in the shop, not even close to the real colour! The pink doesn't photo well, I think it's too dark and neon in my photo, but it's still way brighter than in the shop photo. It's also made for someone who has no ass and HUGE bosom, I'm more the other way around ;P Still, I managed to make it work and finally wore it somewhere! It's still comfy and I love the pointed shoulders.

The hair extensions don't match my hair perfectly at the moment, but the flash makes it super obvious in the photo, IRL they looked better. At least I hope so ;P Well, it was dark in the club anyway!

On to the makeup!
I decided to do a super glittery look and found just the perfect video tutorial, this one. The colours look a bit different on my skin because I'm so pale, I didn't really think of it before starting to do the look, so I did some tweaking in the end to make it look better. I also skipped the cream shadow and didn't use glitter. I haven't worked with glitter that much and I didn't have that much time, so I went with a Sugarpill loose shadow instead.

Here's what I used. From left to right: Sugarpill Poison Plum (the purple
in the palette), Maybelline Fit me blush in Deep Rose, Fyrinnae Lip Lustre in
Coffin Velvet, dark purple Mschic kohl pencil (for lip lining), Sugarpill Chromalust
loose shadows in Darling and Magentric, Evil Shades shadow in Banshee, Fyrinnae
shadow in Cuddlefish and Glamour Doll Eyes shadow in Glam Girl.

I followed the tutorial, but added some Banshee on top of Darling to lighten the colour a bit and blended Poison Plum edges with Cuddlefish and Glam Girl to make it cooler. Coffin Velvet and the kohl pencil I used for lining my lips created a nice gradient, since the pencil was a bit darker and cooler shade. Deep Rose blush is my new favourite, it created a nice flushed look but is still glamorous. I'm also wearing black contacts.

I think the evening went really well. Not many people felt like dancing, but that's okay since there were so many shows to see and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I'm not too familiar with the kinky scene, but every party I've been to has had a warm, friendly atmosphere and people are really nice (except for the one guy with a hungry look who tried to pick up every lady at the party, but at least he was polite and went straight to the point by asking if I'm available). I got my picture taken, since they had a photographer and an awesome chair to pose with. I'm hoping it turned out nice!

I Never Wear Orange!

Orange is really not my thing, by I decided to experiment since the Never Too Much Sparkle Facebook-group was having an orange theme this week. So here's what I did!

And red lips to go with the orange eyes :)

I used:
Sugarpill Buttercupcake (yellow)
Fyrinnae Rapunzel had Extensions (shimmery golden peach)
Glamour Doll Eyes My Belle (orange)
Gosh lipstain 003 Berry
Evil Shades Hardcore Lips Roue

I think Buttercupcake was a bit too dark for the look, but My Belle and Rapunzel had Extensions worked really well together :) I even went out like this, did a full day at work!

Brine and Fabulous Look

I wanted to use Brine from Detrivore Cosmetics, so I paired it with a lighter version of colour and did a simple look. Today I booked a time for the hairdresser to get my locks in order, haven't had my hair professionally coloured in many, many years. I'm hoping she can do something about the fact that the top layers of my hair fade a lot faster than the bottom ones.

I've been quite busy with everything, studies and work and all, but I hope I'll get back to the once a day update schedule :) I took some outfit pics yesterday, but forgot I tweaked the tripod a bit, resulting in my shoes being cut off in every single pic.

I used:

Detrivore Brine (lid and crease, blended up)
Glamour Doll Eyes Fabulous! (inner part of lid)
Sugarpill Tako (inner corners of eyes and brow bone)
Lumene Sweet Blush
Gosh lipstain 003 Berry
Missha Perfect Cover BB-cream in nro. 13

Sorry for the blurry pic, but you get the idea :)

Got a fancy Hipstamatic effect by taking the pic with curtains closed,
they gave a slight purple sheen to the whole room.

Bella Morte Look

Yesterday I went to a new goth club called Bella Morte, and it was excellent! The pub was nice and had a large dance floor, music was good, I met so many friends I don't think I even had time to talk to everyone and ate a delicious falafel meal at home after the event. I'm looking forward to the next Bella Morte, since the event was sold out on the first time it was ever held, it should do great! It's so nice to have new clubs, especially with such a good atmosphere!

Here's my makeup and outfit. I didn't remember to take a picture of my outfit with shoes on, but I wore the skeleton heels. I had been drooling over the dress for a long time, and finally caved in and bought it from eBay, I was happy that it arrived fast so I could wear it for the club.

For the makeup, I used:

Face
MAC Strobe liquid primer (only on the cheek bones on top of the foundation)
MAC Studio Sculpt foundation
MAC Select Cover-up

Evil Shades Matte Silk powder
Evil Shades blush in Pink Noise

Eyes
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Glamour Doll Eyes Glam Girl
Concrete Minerals Sabotage
Sugarpill Tako
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
Sugarpill Saint lashes

Lips
Max Factor Lasting Lip Tint in 06

My boyfriend did my hair, I think he did an awesome job :)

Look at my hat! I didn't get a good picture of it, but it has a mink skull on it and I made it myself!

Dress - Spin Doctor
Corset - Artifice clothing
Hat - by me!
Earrings - Gina Tricot
Necklace - Bijou Brigitte

Neutral Look

Today I did a look with neutral brown colours, using only one of the samples I'm trying to work through. Paired with a bold lipstain, I think it looks nice :) Chocoholic is a really red toned warm dark brown, so I put on Envy me with it, which is a taupe with a green sheen. I'm really loving the lipstain, it lasts me through a whole day at work, even with a pasta lunch!

I used:
Fyrinnae Damn Paladins
Fyrinnae Envy Me
Glamour Doll Eyes Chocoholic
Kanebo 38 Mascara
Lumene Sweet Blush
Gosh lipstain Berry

Whoops, wonky bangs!

Samples Look

I'm trying to use up some of the samples I've got, so I here's a look done with Glamour Doll Eyes and Darling Girl Cosmetics that I wore to work today (and to a carting track later, when doing some extra work in the evening). I tried to show how I did my hair partly up so my undercut would show, but it didn't look as good on camera. Also my hair conceals my lovely sparrow skull earrings! But I think you can see one if you look really hard.

I used:
Darling Girl Cosmetics LaLa (on whole lid)
Glamour Doll Eyes Glam Girl (in the crease)
Glamour Doll Eyes Phyrra (in the inner corners and on lower lid)

80's Night Look

I went to an 80's club night, where the DJ's play mainly old goth rock and 80's hits. The perfect combination since I love both! I had just gotten my new lashes from Sugarpill and wanted to do a look with them.

I used:

Face
L'Oreal Smooting Resurfacing Primer
MAC Strobe liquid
MAC Studio Sculpt foundation
MAC Select Cover-up
Evil Shades Matte Silk powder
Evil Shades blush in Pink Noise

Eyes
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Glamour Doll Eyes Glam Girl
Fyrinnae Catrina Cabaret
Evil Shades Suffocation
Sugarpill Taco
Sugarpill Angel Baby lashes

Lips
Morgana Cryptoria 11th Hour lipstick

I primed my face, added foundation with my fingers (brushes seem to suck up too much of the foundation and I'm allergic to latex sponges), then covered undereyes and added some powder on top with a big fluffy brush. Dabbed some Strobe Liquid on my cheekbones, chin tip and nose bridge. Put Pink Noise blush on cheeks. It's a lovely dark shimmering pink shade.

On my eyes I used UDPP and put Pixie Epoxy on top. Padded Glam Girl on the lid, then put Catrina Cabaret on the crease and blended it up. Catrina Cabaret is described as a blackened teal, but on my skin it looks more like a dark purpley blue. Still very pretty and has wonderful pink-purple shimmer and glitter! I tried to blend the edges of Catrina Cabaret with Suffocaiton, but it doesn't show that much. Added some more Catrina Cabaret after blending to deepen the colour. Put Taco on my brow bone and inner corners of eyes, added mascara and put on the Sugarpill falsies. Finished the look with Morgana Cryptoria lipstick.

This is what I wore. It was super cold in the morning, so I piled on tons of stuff. You can't really see it on the pic, but I'm wearing woolen pantyhose under leggings and a bolero on top of a long sleeved shirt. The weather became warmer during the night, but at least I was in no danger to freeze ever ;) I had a really fun night, including lots of dancing, beer and friends!

Necklace - Morticia
Shirt - Second hand
Bolero - Queen of Darkness
Corset - Lip Service

Leggings - Can't remember! They are super old.
