Glowing Green Look

This one is from last week. The pictures were taken when the sun was setting, so they are a little bit too warm. The yellow light cancels out the lavender tones of the light shadow on the lid. The look turned out quite dramatic!

I used:
Femme Fatale Banshee Scream (very pale lavender with a green sheen, on the inner corners and lid)
Shiro Cosmetics Steve. (bright turquoise, on the outer lid, inner lower lid and in the lower part of the crease)
Femme Fatale Ultimate Wizards (blackened purple with purple microglitter, in the crease and outer lower lid, the colour lost most of the glitter when I blended it so it looks just plain dark)

Teal Liner Look

Moar colour! I said before doing this look ;D I originally got the teal liner to do my brows with back when I had turquoise hair. It's a gorgeous shade so it would be a shame to let it go to waste. The other shades are Moi Minerals' Pluto, a dark purple in the crease, Shiro Cosmetics' Steve, a bright turquoise, and Rapunzel Had Extensions by Fyrinnae. It's a peachy shade with a gold sheen. Pluto was a bit too cold for my taste with the other colours, so I padded a hint of Princess of Darkness by Fyrinnae on top of it. It's a very red purple, so together with Pluto it was perfect. The liner is by Inglot.

Moi Minerals Pluto, Fyrinnae Rapunzel Had Extensions and Shiro Cosmetics Steve. Missing from the picture is Fyrinnae Princess of Darkness.

Steve on the lid, Pluto + Princess of Darkness in the crease and Rapunzel Had Extensions in the inner corner and brow bone for a soft, warm glow.

I've been engrossed in a dress project for the last few days, I'm making a fancy chiffon dress to wear at a convention next weekend. I forgot that I HATE sewing chiffon. Good that I only have 8 meters of it...

Super Easy Valentine's Look

Shiro Cosmetics Day of Reckoning - dark metallic burgundy
Antoinette's Revolution Pink Rose - medium pink
Sugarpill Tako - matte white

A very easy Valentine's look! I used a dark burgundy for the crease, but a plum purple works also. Pink on the lid makes it sweet. Especially if you have green eyes, these shades will make your eyes really shine. I used matte white on the tearduct and brow bone to brighten the shades and make my eyes look more open.

Ganondorf Look

Here's Ganondorf eyeshadow by Shiro Cosmetics! Ilona put it in the envelope with my nailpolishes as a surprise and it's just lovely! Dark reddish tones really make my eye colour pop, don't you think?

Lingered In Twilight Look

Lingered in Twilight is the last of the Shiro eyeshadows I had not tried. It's part of the Hobbit collection and a wonderful dark, mossy green with a metallic sheen. For some reason it didn't want to blend properly, but it might have been my hasty application of UDPP, I was in a hurry in the morning. A skin tone shadow beneath would also help, I'll try that next time!

Riddles in the Dark and Finkelstein Look

Here's again a few more of my new Shiro eyeshadows! This look was done with Finkelstein from the Halloween collection on the lid and Riddles in the Dark in the crease. Finkelstein is a sheer greenish grey, it looks hard to use in the jar, but on skin it goes on quite sheer and leaves a wonderful blue shift. Riddles in the Dark is from the Hobbit collection. It's a dark grey with multicoloured glitter, a very nice dark crease colour that looks like it will go with many lighter shades easily!

The Pumpkin King Look

I'm supposed to read for an upcoming exam, but instead I'm writing this post. This is yet another one of the Shiro Cosmetics eyeshadows, and definitely a favourite! The Pumpkin King is part of Shiro's Halloween collection. It's a warm dark brown with gold and orange glitter. The shade really brings out the pale green in my eyes!

And a full face! I'm wearing an IsaDora glossy lip stain on my lips.

King Under the Mountain and Housewife Look

My Shiro cosmetics order came in today and I had to try a few shadows right away! This is housewife on the lid and King Under the Mountain in the crease.

You can also admire what's left of my eyebrows after I was fed up with hairs pointing every which way.

And this is what I wore on my face in the morning, just some BB cream, powder,
eyeshadow on brows, mascara, a little blush and a bright lip stain!

Purple and Aqua Look

I've been so busy! Tons of things to do, I've got an album cover to photograph and edit, a leaflet to design and lay out, and at work the project I'm working on is ending (here's an interview from the Iceland trip! I hate watching myself on video, so I haven't watched it, but I'm sure someone would tell me if I suck ;P), plus I've got some university studies that are super interesting. And I missed my yoga class today, boo.

Here's still my look of the day! I wanted something surprising, putting on my make-up is my favourite morning routine (the only other ones are not to be naked and to get out of the door in time to not be late at work) and I think I did well. A very simple look, and I'd say it can be done with any two colours where one is significantly lighter but both go well together.

I used:
Shiro Cosmetics Shinigami (a dark cool purple with silver microglitter, on the lid and crease)
Sugarpill Mochi (a light aqua/turquoise, in the inner corners)

PS. Happy Valentines for everyone! Mine hasn't been great, but that's life. Oh, and there's still a few hours left of the Sugarpill sale! All eyeshadows are 20% off! I couldn't resist and ordered a few my collection was missing ;P

New Swatches

I've soon gone through my box of new shadows to swatch, but don't worry, when my new lens arrives I'll be re-swatching old ones to get better pictures!

Here are a few purple and my favourite taupe.

Shiro Not Very Effective, Shiro Shinigami, Geek Chic The Pointy End and
Femme Fatale The Dark One

The two Shiro shadows look very similar in the jar, but their differences are clear when swatched. The jars were packed so full I had to remove the sifters to get some shadow on my brush!

Not Very Effective - A blackened purple, very dark with multicoloured glitter.
Shinigami - Dark purple with silver shimmer and microglitter.

The Pointy End - My so far favourite taupe! Medium to dark, cool and with a metallic sheen.

The Dark One - Looks lavender in the jar, but on skin the darkness shows well. A blackened, blue based purple with lavender sheen and magenta microglitter.
