I was really excited when I was asked to DJ at a local fetish event, I was there last year and really liked it. This year they had even more performances, pole dancing, Japanese style bondage and a latex fashion show. Especially the pole dancing looked fabulous, the dancer made it look so easy!
I was there on my own for most of the evening, since my other half was busy (building a trebuchet from Ikea stuff, that is), but I was so happy that I met a lovely lady who reads my blog who I had bumped into at Lumous also. She and her friends took me under their wing, they were so nice! I met an old friend later, it was so nice to see her again, I think it's been over a year since we last saw each other!
I haven't been to many fetish parties, but the thing I really like about them is that everyone is free to dress as they like and people really work to look their best there! This is what I wore for the evening:
Dress - Artifice Clothing
Corset - Artifice Clothing
Tights - Backstreet
Shoes - Pleaser (second hand)
Hair extensions - Some chinese eBay seller ;P
I had worn the dress only to one photoshoot before, it wasn't the colour I expected. Neon pink generally isn't my colour, I like a bit more muted pink to go with plummy purple shades I like.
This is what it looked like in the shop, not even close to the real colour! The pink doesn't photo well, I think it's too dark and neon in my photo, but it's still way brighter than in the shop photo. It's also made for someone who has no ass and HUGE bosom, I'm more the other way around ;P Still, I managed to make it work and finally wore it somewhere! It's still comfy and I love the pointed shoulders.
The hair extensions don't match my hair perfectly at the moment, but the flash makes it super obvious in the photo, IRL they looked better. At least I hope so ;P Well, it was dark in the club anyway!

| On to the makeup! |
I decided to do a super glittery look and found just the perfect video tutorial,
this one. The colours look a bit different on my skin because I'm so pale, I didn't really think of it before starting to do the look, so I did some tweaking in the end to make it look better. I also skipped the cream shadow and didn't use glitter. I haven't worked with glitter that much and I didn't have that much time, so I went with a Sugarpill loose shadow instead.
 |
Here's what I used. From left to right: Sugarpill Poison Plum (the purple in the palette), Maybelline Fit me blush in Deep Rose, Fyrinnae Lip Lustre in Coffin Velvet, dark purple Mschic kohl pencil (for lip lining), Sugarpill Chromalust loose shadows in Darling and Magentric, Evil Shades shadow in Banshee, Fyrinnae shadow in Cuddlefish and Glamour Doll Eyes shadow in Glam Girl. |
I followed the tutorial, but added some Banshee on top of Darling to lighten the colour a bit and blended Poison Plum edges with Cuddlefish and Glam Girl to make it cooler. Coffin Velvet and the kohl pencil I used for lining my lips created a nice gradient, since the pencil was a bit darker and cooler shade. Deep Rose blush is my new favourite, it created a nice flushed look but is still glamorous. I'm also wearing black contacts.
I think the evening went really well. Not many people felt like dancing, but that's okay since there were so many shows to see and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I'm not too familiar with the kinky scene, but every party I've been to has had a warm, friendly atmosphere and people are really nice (except for the one guy with a hungry look who tried to pick up every lady at the party, but at least he was polite and went straight to the point by asking if I'm available). I got my picture taken, since they had a photographer and an awesome chair to pose with. I'm hoping it turned out nice!
