Freestylextreme's Iron Fist Shoes

Freestylextreme.com contacted me a little while ago to suggest a collaboration. Since I'm always on the lookout for new, nice places to shop on the web, I decided to give it a go. I chose a pair of lovely Iron Fist shoes that arrived super fast, in only four days! The shop is based in the UK and ships with DHL, but usual shipping fee is only 5.99 euros, which is very reasonable for a service that delivers the package to your doorstep. And inside the EU there's no fear of customs fees!

Well packed package, my shoes are naturally extreme urgent ;P

I so like Iron Fist's box design, simple yet elegant!

One shoe...

And here they are! The style is Don't Cross Me.

The shoes are made of faux leather printed with different crosses.

I don't think I've ever seen such sparkly shoe laces before! The have silver tinsel in them.

The heels are sturdy, but with a feminine touch since the soles are painted pink.
I'm very much a fan of Iron Fist and these shoes are no exception. They are made of plastic, but don't feel shabby on fall apart instantly. Their shoes are always a tiny bit too narrow for my feet, but that wears off after a few uses. The soles are smooth, so they can be a bit slippery on rugs, so be careful!

Freestylextreme is originally a shop for motocross enthusiasts, but they sell brands that fit many styles. Their Iron Fist selection is not huge, but the prices are very reasonable. Along with Iron Fist, they carry Lucky 13 and Alchemy, both of which do really nice stuff for darker styles! They also have many language versions of the site to cater for international customers. There isn't a Finnish one, but luckily most of us Fins are pretty good at English :) The customer service also replied to all my emails very fast, so I'm confident that they can handle any problems. I'm very happy with the service and am already planning to order a few shirts for my other half, since they have a nice selection of men's wear, too!

Lastly, a few pics of the shoes being worn, I wore them to run some errands.

From Bella Morte

I got to see a few pictures taken at the last Club Bella Morte, and there was one of me that I really liked! Thanks to Ari Rantanen for the pic.

Me playing some music from my tiny laptop.

And this is Murnau's Playhouse, a decent amount of smoke there ;P

Ropecon Saturday and Sunday

Saturday went so fast! I listened to presentations about designing sword fight card game, the life of medieval knights and my personal favourite, roleplaying game designer Vincent Baker's presentation about how to design roleplaying games that don't suck. Then we played some games in the bar, it's been a long time since I've played Once Upon A Time :)

Saturday's outfit.

I bought these earrings from the Flash Market, they are gorgeous!

Another find from the Flash Market, a second hand tiny purse for only 1,50 euros. I love it!

Games!

I had forgotten my dice, but at the info desk they luckily had some to lend out.
Today, on Sunday, I gave my lecture about roleplaying games and video games, and was very surprised that so many people came to listen! I hope everyone learned something, or at least enjoyed it. Now I'm on my way home, on the train, I miss the kitties already!

Me talking about stuff.

Ropecon Friday

I'm in Espoo and Ropecon is on! Yesterday was the first day of the event, so my friends and I traveled here from Tampere, settled in the hotel and had some fun.

Me at Kamppi, there was this weird looking huge sculpture.

My friend Ville talking about his new roleplaying game, Melidian.
Me at the Flash Market. There wasn't too many customers, but enough, and everyone
was really nice! I'm wearing a brand new waist cincher I bought from Morticia.
(And the Betelgeuse fascinator that I just had keep, it was too pretty to sell ;P)

Things I had for sale. I maybe packed a little too much for just two and a half hours of selling time, but the table
looked nice.

To finish the evening my other half and me went to see the Director's Cut version of Iron Sky in the Auditorium. Today I have no plans yet, I have to see what's happening after I finish my lovely hotel breakfast!

Basket Case

This is another one of the Darling Girl eyeshadows. I has accidentally ordered two of the same colour, but Susan was so nice as to ask if that's correct, so I switched one for this wonderful shade. And I'm glad I did! This is Basket Case, a light lavender with a strong blue sheen. Here I've applied it on top of Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, making the colour really pop.

I cut my bangs today after taking the pic, so maybe there won't be hair in all the pictures any more ;P

Pufflin' Shuffle and Adoration Look

I made a small order to Darling Girl cosmetics earlier, and have been trying out the shadows I bought. This is what I wore today, on the lid and brow bone is Adoration, a very pale skin tone shadow with a satin finish, and in the crease is Puffin' Shuffle, a very shimmery grey-ish taupe. Adoration seems like a perfect shade for me to use as a base, it's close to my skin tone and gives a gorgeous finish!

Ropecon Is Coming!

The annual roleplaying convention, Ropecon, will be held next weekend in Espoo. I'm selling some jewellery and a few fascinators on the Flash Market on Friday from 18:30 to 21:00. So if you are interested, be sure to come early!

And if roleplaying games and the video game industry interest you, I'm talking about the pros and cons of having background in table top roleplaying when working in the industry on Sunday 11-12. It's only in Finnish, sorry!

Esitys on suomeksi!

Wedding Look

This is the look I wore to Anniina's wedding. I wasn't sure how formal the event will be, so I opted for something quite light and not over-the-top.

I used:
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk for the base (on top of Urban Decay Primer Potion)
Evil Shades Suffocation (light pink with a blue sheen, on the inner part of the lid)
Moi Minerals Venus (darker pink, in the inner part of the crease)
Madd Style Cosmetics Fabby LaLa (medium purple, on the inner edge of DTMYLM and lower lashline)
Darling Girl Don't Teal Me You Love Me (dark purple base with a strong teal shift, in the outer crease and lower lash line)

The brows are done with Moi Mineral Pluto and mixing medium from Kiko. Lips are Manhattan Lips2Last, but I've lost the sticker that would tell me the number of the shade. It's a slightly shimmery plum colour.

Outfit of the Day

This is what I wore yesterday to Anniina's and Jani's wedding party! They had such a great venue, delicious food and people stayed up dancing until the morning. I'm so glad I got to share the day with them :) My other half took the pictures and I liked almost all of them, so you get a ton, sorry :P

Hat - From a stall in WGT market
Necklace - Made by me
Jacket - Jessica Louise
Dress - Spin Doctor for Hell Bunny
Heels - Second hand (H&M)

And here's the lovely couple starting their first dance <3

And my other half and I! I think he looks so smart in a suit :)

Cosmetics from Germany

While in Berlin I shopped for cosmetics that are not available in Finland. I love going to Rossman and DM just to look at all the cheap stuff they have, and I've yearned to visit a Kiko again ever since I went to one in Cologne.

Nailpolish. The first on the left is called Miss Universe and I'm wearing it right now, it's gorgeous! The bright teal was on
discount and I didn't have a plain plum purple before, so I got one from Kiko.

Claire's had some comic theme items and I totally fell in love with this purple glittery bat necklace. I got two so I can put one up for a giveaway soon :)

I like bindis and body jewels, but haven't found them often in Finland.

I restocked on this nail oil by essence, I think the applicator is very handy and the oil has a nice, tangy, citrus smell with some sweetness. I also wanted some manicure sticks for my cuticles, I don't even know what the pink end is supposed to do but these looked nice ;P

Kiko mixing solution. I did have some mixing liquid coming from Darling Girl, but since this was only 3,5 euros I wanted to give it a go. Seems to work fine and the bottle is huge!

Essence gel blush. It's actually a lot less brown than what it looks like in the tube, it's more like a bright apple red. It was on discount and cost a little under three euros. Here's also the Miss Universe nail polish in action!

Nyx Jumbo Eye pencils in Black Bean and Milk. I've been coveting
these for ages and didn't even remember that Douglas sells Nyx.

A Manhattan Lip2Last liquid lipstick and a Maybelline Super Stay 24H liquid lipstick. Both colours are quite light and easy to wear, and last for ages. The Maybelline one has a balm stick to go over the colour, rather that the gloss with a doe-foot applicator that Manhattan has, but otherwise they are very much alike.

Kiko mascara in teal and purple, and an Essence Long Lasting eye pencil in purple.

The purple mascara, it's warmer IRL.

The teal mascara, a bit darker IRL.

And a perfume sample I got from Douglas with the Nyx pencils. Smells nice!

I also got some hair colour, just because it cost under two euros in DM and the same stuff is almost seven in Finland. Aside from cosmetics, I only got a few books from the Deutsches Historisches Museum's shop, aloe vera gel, tea tree oil and ginger tea. No clothing this time, I did visit some goth shops but nothing caught my eye.
