And New Hair!

I did it! After two years of purple, I yearned for a new shade, and teal is my thing! The Elumen was a pain in the behind to get out of the hair and it still needs another coat of Directions Turquoise and little touch ups, like getting rid of the ugly brown stripe in the front. I'm still very happy with it!

  1. You rock any color, it would seem ;)
Gah, if only I didn't have an overly sensitive scalp... I would dye to the ends of the earth!

    1. Thank you! I really like your natural shade, I've always coveted dark hair since mine is so light and tends to have a cool brown tone to it that I'm not fond of.

    1. Thanks! I tried Colour B4 (didn't do much), vitamin C colour removing (didn't do much) and finally bleached the hair twice (it went bright pink first, so getting from Elumen purple to pink would be easy!).

  9. It looks amazing! It is fantastic how you manage to dye your hair so often and keep it so long! My hair is so thin and sensitive, it just doesn't want to do that! You look magnificent!

    1. Thank you! My ends do feel quite dry right now, but I'm planning on slapping a hair mask on and then cutting the hair a bit shorter if it still feels too frizzy. My hair is pretty thick, meaning that a single hair is thick, it might be the thing that makes it so durable.

    1. Thank you! I'm dying to get some pics of the teal in natural light, but it's so damn dark that I might have to wait until the weekend, but I do think it goes well with my skin tone!

  16. You look great in teal :) one question: does all this hair color changing ruin your hair? I'm also thinking about changing my hair from black to red but I'm scared of ruining them too much :/

    1. Thanks! My ends are very dry now, but they have been bleached something like six times (four times before the purple and two times recently). My hair just seems to stay in pretty good shape! I'm planning to get a hair mask and moisturize the ends with some coconut oil, too. I'd say it's a personal thing, some hair just doesn't like bleach and goes into bad condition fast. You could always try out with a strand to see how many bleaches your hair would need and what condition it is after that. Even if the strand goes fizzy, it's only a tiny bit of hair and then you'd know. You should also look into Colour B4, I hear it's great with permanent black dyes! It does smell like fart but is much less damaging than bleaching :)

    1. Kiitos paljon!

    1. Kiitos! Sun tukka kuulostaa ihanalta, pastellisävyt on tosi kauniita ja ihan erityisesti mun sydäntäni lähellä on turkoosin ja violetin yhdistelmä :)
