I tried the Foxy Curls curling spray with my wand, it's great! These curled ends are four days old. |

Just Me and My Pole
I got a dancing pole! It came on Saturday and I've already worked my arms sore ;D It's still a bit awkwardly placed, but I have an extension piece coming soon that allows me to choose the spot more freely. Now it's in the only spot with a normal height ceiling, the apartment is higher in other places. I'm so excited to get to try out all the moves I do at the lessons at home, too, because it always feels like there's too little time. I also get so tired during the one hour lesson that my grip begins to loosen, but I'm guessing I'll be able to exercise longer once my muscles grow a bit.

ReplyDeleteKiitos! Mulle käy kyllä varmaan sama keskittymispuute, oon korkealentoisesti suunnitellut että tekisin tunnin koreografiaa uudestaan sitten itekseni kotona, mutta saa nähä mitä oikeesti tulee ähellettyä ;D
DeleteAah, mullakin on tanko kotona! :)
ReplyDeleteSiis "aah ihanaa" :-D unohtuu sanat välistä kun oon niin innoissani sun puolesta! :-D
DeleteYmmärrän tunteen, meitsi oli koko lauantain ennen tangon saapumista sillai "tankotankotankoiih", ei aivot pysty useempaan asiaan ;P
DeleteI'm so curious about pole dancing! I would love to start practicing it as well, but I think I would need to build up some arm strength before I do that.
ReplyDeleteThe beginner lessons seem to start from the very basics (at least at the studio I go to), my arms are skinny little things that were only used for keeping fingers in position for typing, but I'm quickly getting better ;P
DeleteGood luck :D I've been dancing on and off for years. Your grip WILL come, so don't worry. If you have trouble with your grip, you can buy gloves (they're mainly used for spinning pole but can help with holds and grips) or use rugby wax (although this is a pain in the butt for cleaning off!). You'll also get crazy calluses on your hands and possibly wrists as well but that's a good thing!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Today at the lesson the pole felt weird when I've been working with the one I have at home that's more slippery. Meaning that instead of gliding down on spins I just hanged on the pole looking stupid ;D My finger tips always feel sore after the lesson, good to know it's normal!
