Green, Blue and Grey Look

I did this look on the weekend. It's all Femme Fatale shadows, because I suddenly remembered how much I like them. I paired the grey - blue eyes with a bright pink lippie, this time Addis Ababa shade of Nyx Soft Matte Cream.

He's named after the singer of Skinny Puppy, Nivek Ogre. I guess the name did not give
Nivek the kitty courage and power, he's scared of shoes, silicone insoles and plastic bags.
But he's still a great cat, my first one and the only one of our cats who loves being talked to!

Sleek Vintage Romance Look

My Stockholm shopping spree included a visit to the local Sephora. I've many times looked at reviews of Sleek palettes but never purchased one, before that lovely Stockholm day that I encountered Sleek Vintage Romance palette. The shades looked like something I could use easily, so mine it was. This is the first look I did with it.

I used Bliss in Barcelona, a metallic blue-ish purple, on the outer side of the lid and in the crease. On the inner part is Marry in Monte Carlo, a metallic pink. Bliss in Barcelona turned out to be quite tricky to use, it formed a sort of tough surface and would give off almost any color until I scrubbed it hard with a brush. That's why I decided to use another purple on the lower lid, Bliss in Barcelona was just too much hard work ;D So on the lower lid is Forever in Florence, a plum purple. There's also just the tiniest touch of the bright silver shadow on the inner corners of my eyes. The purples, especially the plum one, really set off my green-blue eyes.

On the lips is Topshop Velvet Lips in Plush.

Bibian Blue Corset Excitement!

Today I met a bunch of lovely ladies for a clothes swap! Wonderful clothes, wonderful people and delicious pastries to get you a nice sugar-high ;D I went with two huge bags of stuff and returned with one huge and one tiny bag, so I call it a success. I got an eyeshadow, a lipstick, glitter gel, leggings, a bolero, a miniskirt and two lovely corsets. The one I'm most excited about is a gorgeous piece by Bibian Blue. I don't know the name of the corset, but it's black and gold and sits quite low on the hips.

Here along with the bolero I also swapped!

The cut makes it very comfortable to wear. I love the printed image on the front and the lace on the top edge, and there's even little satin frills on the sides, perfect! It's a size large, but you know the Spanish, their "large" is tiny!

I have to say I simply love clothing swap events. I get to chat with people, see and touch wonderful clothes and I can also get rid of stuff I don't need. What more could you ask for?

Topshop Lip Paint in Proud

Stockholm has Topshop stores, so I naturally visited one to take a look at their make-up selection. I got a few products (I own their matte black lipstick and it's the shiz, totally awesome!) to try. This one is a Lip Paint called Proud. I googled a few reviews of the lip paints and they were described as liquid lipsticks that are quite alike to Nyx Matte Lip Creams. I happen to love those, so I got on of the Lip Paints. Turns out it's nothing like a Matte Lip Cream! For one it's not matte. It doesn't set on the lips and is not opaque. It also seems to need a lip liner to keep the paint in place.

The shade is very nice, but looks a lot darker and nicer in the tube than on lips. You can't really layer it since it doesn't set. The brownish shade suits me well and gives a dark but not too obvious lip, but due to the bleeding problems I doubt I'll use this product much. It's good for someone who wants a semi-sheer but bold shade and has the energy to re-apply every few hours.

Outfit of the Day

I'm heading out to listen to Beastmilk and Atomikylä, this is what I chose to wear! I'm wearing a corset under the clothes to give the high-waisted skirt the curvy waistline it craves for. In the end I opted for another pair of shoes, but these looked so nice with the outfit I wore them for pictures anyway ;P

Messy Bun and no Brows

I'm interested in how different people can look with make-up. That's why I try to experiment from time to time. Today I wanted to try a lipstick I bought from Topshop in Stockholm. I love their matte black lipstick and had never been to a Topshop store before, so I got a few different kinds of lip products. This one is a lip paint in the shade Proud. When I put it on I decided to do a taupe eye look to compliment the brownish shade of the lip paint. I had planned to add turquoise brows to spice up the look, but after putting on eyeshadow, I liked the look without brows.

The pictures turned out really nice! Sometimes the no-brows look make me just look tired and sick, but with these shades I think there's more of a runway make-up feel. I hardly recognize myself in the pictures ;D

Greetings from Stockholm! I had business trip and continued with a lovely holiday with friends. The Livrustkammaren, Royal Armory in the Old Town has an exhibition including some costumes from the Game of Thrones HBO-series. Apparently they really know what visitors like and had this as a spot to take pictures at:

If you go to see the exhibition, don't forget to take a look at the royal carriages hidden in the cellar. They are magnificent!
