WGT Pictures, Bigger and Better!

It's boring to be ill, so I used the time not spent napping by going through old pictures. I noticed the pics in my WGT posts from this year are quite small. I wanted to show you larger versions too, because many of the pictures came out really nice :)

This was my outfit for the first day. The fascinator is by Videnoir, necklace by Art with Latex, shrug from Artifice Clothing, top bespoke by Tiina of Rogue and the skirt is from Fan + Friend.

I tried a different way of lining my eyes than what I usually do. I'm not sure the effect suits me as well as it could, but maybe with more practice I'll get better!

This one is from the evening of the first day. I wore a corset under a PVC dress and a pair of Lip Service PVC pants along with the new fascinator and the Artifice shrug.

This outfit I put together for the second day. The lovely and super comfy dress is by Queen of Darkness and the cool fake fur shrug is by Artifice Clothing. I'm a sucker for their shrugs!

For the evening I added a cute peplum belt by Artifice and a pair of horns I bought from eBay. Just a little something to spice up the look!

For Sunday I wanted to really go all in! I bought the collar from Videnoir's stall at Agra, so it was brand new. I paired it with plenty of PVC and the horns I wore the night before. I really like how big the horns are!

These pics just show off my new clutch purse, because it's the cutest thing ever. It's by Queen of Darkness, and surprisingly you can fit in a phone, lipstick, keys and a wallet!

Do you have a favourite of the outfits? I think the pics of the evening outfit with horns and furry shoulders came out super nice, but I do like the others as well. The furry shoulder outfit was the only one that did not have a corset, so maybe I just remember how comfy it was compared to the others ;D

Outfit of the Day

I'm down with sinusitis, once again. I hate not being able to do what I want, there are so many interesting things to do but I have no energy. Today I managed to get some work done, ate and took a nap. Yay. I hope tomorrow is better!

I still managed to get outfit pictures taken, which makes me happy :) So here's what I wore for a slow day of working from home.

Top - Gina Tricot
Cardigan - Nanso
Skirt - H&M
Socks - Primark
Sandals - Nilson

Drawing Blood Nails

I took the plunge and removed Sub-Zero from my nails and tried something new. This is Essence "Do you speak love?", a dark red, painted only on the edges of nude acrylic nails. I really like the effect, it gives the nails just that tiny bit of colour they need to stand out! PS. My lucky three footed frog agreed to pose for the pictures, isn't she lovely?

Dance Legend Sub-Zero Nail Polish Review

I first saw this nail polish on Bunnytail Nails blog (check out the awesome nail designs there, you won't be disappointed!) and thought it looked nice. The idea of a thermo polish with black and blue-green stuck, and eventually I just had to hunt eBay for it! This is Sub-Zero by Dance Legend. It's a thermo active polish, meaning that it changes shade depending on the temperature it's in. In warm conditions the polish base is a blue with hints of green. In cold it goes black.

What really makes Sub-Zero stand out from other thermo polishes I've tried is the amount of shimmer and flakies in it. The polish has green shimmery flakes and very fine copper shimmer in it, making it change tone depending on the light as well. The flakes and shimmer give it depth and work perfectly with both the blue base and the black base colour. It's also the only thermo polish I've come across that actually almost always makes a visible transition effect while in room temperatures.

I have acrylic nails at the moment, that might affect how the thermo effect works, but on my nails it's absolutely gorgeous. When I go out, the polish turns dark, and when I come back in, it makes my nails have a lovely smooth gradient from blue to black.

Room temperature

Outside temperature (simulated with cool water ;P)

Sub-Zero is satin finish, but glossy top coat makes the polish even more vivid. You need 3-4 coats to get an opaque result, but the polish goes on nicely and does not streak easily. I've been wearing Sub-Zero only for two weeks and I think I might neglect my other polishes because of how wonderful it is!

Outfit of the Day

It's finally summer in Finland! And my vacation just ended, great ;D I had to do some emergency shoe shopping in Cologne, because the only pair I had with me decided to break on the first day of the trip. Vagabond was carrying super cute 90's style shoes, so I got a pair that I think goes nicely with the frilly socks I bought from Primark. I paired the 90's footwear with the loose fitting top Tiina of Rogue gave me for my b-day and a skater skirt from H&M.

I'm Back!

Whew, what a busy business trip! I had planned to do shopping, but I had no time for that. In the last two days at Cologne the only free time I had I used to wash my hair ;D But it was still fun, it's great to meet fellow game enthusiasts.

Here's a few pictures from my ventures to GDC Europe, Gamescom and the city of Cologne.

Playing Fallout Shelter. I did my nails with an awesome thermo nail polish that goes from black to blue.

Me and a TIE Fighter at Gamescom.

A bathroom selfie from Paradox Fan Gathering.

I had a letter from Urban Decay waiting for me at home, yay!

Möttönen the cat inspecting the loot I brought home. I love my Chirpy plushie with its squished crown!
My vacation is now officially over and I'll be back to business as usual tomorrow. Seems like the summer finally arrived to Finland, but I'll be enjoying the air conditioning at the office ;P

I have a pile of make-up that I want to try out and show you guys! Especially the Colour Pop order that's on its way is very exciting, so expect to have plenty of posts in the future!

Shopping in Germany

I'm already packing my bags for the next trip, but here's a look at what I bought from Cologne. I like to shop at the cheap drugstores, because they have way better prices than Finland and carry more brands.

We don't have Kiko in Finland, so I always like to see what they offer. The nail polished are very nice quality for the low price, and occasionally other make-up catches my eye as well. I bought two nail polishes, a glass nail file, a glitter liner and a purple eyeliner. Essence recently came to Finland, but it's not yet available in my home city. I just couldn't resist the cute little shimmer pearls! I was also shopping for a beauty blogger colleague who asked me to get her two crystal liners, which looked so nice that I decided to get me a pair too ;P

Weleda massage oil was recommended to me. I've so far only used Lush's massage bars, but tried the oil yesterday and it's very nice. The peel off nail polish base is something I've wanted to try with glitter polishes. Glitter is such a b*tch to get off! The hand cream was an impulse buy, my hands were dry and I didn't pack any hand cream.

Super cute shimmer pearls by Essence!

Kiko nail polishes and a P2 peel-off base coat.

Kiko glitter eyeliner and Essence crystal liners.
Lets see what else I will hoard on my next trip, or if I even have any time to shop since it's a business trip!
