WGT Sunday

We woke up late and decided to go out and eat right away. Had delicious mushroom pasta and milkshakes and headed off to the Egyptian Museum afterwards. It was open on one day for free to WGT visitors. Stayed there until closing time (I love Egypt and could spend ages in almost any museum) and then went off to listen to The House of Usher. They didn't play that well, but it was still nice. I continued to Volkspalast for Luftwaffe and Of The Wand And The Moon, the venue was gorgeous! A round hall with a high dome, excellent acoustics and I loved the DDR look of the place, all concrete.

Strawberry-vanilla and chocolate-banana milkshakes!
Met with my other half at Moritzbastei (see a pattern here? ;)) and we continued the evening in the cellars where a friend of ours was DJ'ing. I guess I'm a bit boring because I'm thrilled to hear Finnish goth classics even when partying in Germany ;P Met friends, listened to lots of good music and drank excellent cola-bier, what more can a lady ask for?

Here's some pictures from the day. There's a ban on cameras at the concert venues (on big cameras, but apparently my five-year-old snapshot camera is too big) so I have pictures from daytime only.

Bought a nice shredded shirt to wear over my dress! Also the flower hair clips are new.

My other half was wearing a tie clip I got for him last year.

Me outside Moritzbastei

And a pic of my evening look! Sweaty pvc is an essential part of any goth festival ;P

  1. Good grief! Europe has all the good festivals. :( House of Usher AND Of the Wand and the Moon!!! *envious* I really like the turquoise dress with the black shredded shirt -- very cool.

    1. Thanks! WGT is really awesome, they have lots of bands performing! The only sad part is that if two bands are playing at the same time at different venues, you can't clone yourself to see both ;P

    1. Thanks! It's by Queen of Darkness, although a crafty person could easily make one :)

    1. Do it! It's so easy to combine with colourful or patterned undershirts and dresses :)

  4. It's a bit sad to hear you cannot take your camera to the concerts. But I guess that helps people enjoy the concert rather that look at it through a glass. Haha :(
I adore your hair on these last pictures. Nice to know you had so much fun!

    1. Small pocket cameras would be allowed, but my smaller camera was still too big. Maybe next year I'll get a tiny one! And yes, it's kind of a blessing to be able to concentrate just on the performance :)

    1. Kiitos! Onnistuin hukkaamaan niistä korkolaput, mutta eiköhän suutari ne fiksaa niin pääsevät taas käyttöön.

  9. I adore that spiral pattern on your undercut! I wish I could have one, but with such a sad hairdo as mine, I'd end up looking very hairless baldie ineed xD.

Anyway, great outfit, beautiful new tattoo~

    1. Thank you so much! I'm really happy with the undercut, I have tons of hair so losing a slice doesn't matter. But it doesn't suit thin hair so well, you are right :)
