I'm working on some prints (
click here for a post about the previous two) and got an ideawhile at a lecture and instantly made a version of it when I got home after work. I took two pairs of deer horns on skulls, put blue tac between the skulls to keep them together and snapped a few pictures. In Photoshop I painted the top parts of the skulls to resemble a heart shape. The cut-out ornament I used in a previous print was added to the background along with a halo of bones to tie all the pictures together. Tiina of Rogue clothing felt that a one-sided design might work better, so I did another version still.

First version, I call it "Horny" ;P |
The second one started with just the idea of having the print asymmetrically on one side of the skirt. Due to technical limitations, it cannot be printed on the seams, so it still needed to be on the front part of the skirt. I fiddled around with some more horn pictures and ornaments, and this came out!

Thank you so much!
DeleteThese look so awesome! If only I could wear tight skirts, but my body shape doesn't allow it! Ah, well, not like I have money, ha ha! I love how you turned the skulls into a heart shape!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Skirts are not for everyone, but they are quite versatile!

Thank you!
DeleteLove these prints, you are so talented! Think I like number one better.... I am obsessed with symmetry haha
ReplyDeleteThank you! I like symmetrical things, too, but naturally I can and will design other kinds of prints as well :) It's good to keep your skills honed, and I'm very happy with the non-symmetrical version also!
DeleteI love both of these! (Sorry, I'm not caught up with your blog) will you get to print these?
ReplyDeleteThanks! At the moment things are going smoothly, which means the printed clothing should be available in a month or so :)
