Ruff In Action!

I wrote about my ruff project earlier, and I did finish it the same day. The glass beads I had planned on using were too heavy so I switched for plastic ones, which was a good decision. It took surprisingly long, since there weren't many parts where I could use the sewing machine, most of the stitching was done by hand, and I HATE hand-stitching ;D Luckily it's done now and I won't have to make another one ever. Right now we are having a pre-party and heading to Lumous in a few hours. Can't wait!

    Huh! Upea kokonaisuus, varmasti oli paljon työtä tuossa kauluksessa! Tuollaisia ei ihan heti tulekaan vastaan :D

      Kiitos! Laskeskelin että kaulukseen upposi varmaan 12 tuntia, kun aloitin aamulla pelkästä kankaasta, kävin välissä vain lounaalla ja kaupassa, ja illalla vielä ompelin helmiä paikoilleen ihan loputtoman paljon ;D

    The ruff looks great on you, it is larger than I imagined! I also hate hand sewing, so we have something in common there...

    Would you mind telling me where you got that amazing necklace?

      Thanks! The necklace is from A for Arsenic, I believe they are currently having a sale and that necklace is one of the discounted items. It's really pretty, you should have a look at their website!

      Thank you! The beads are actually super cheap plastic ones, but they are faceted so they catch the light really nicely :)

      Kiitos, ihanasti sanottu! Oli siinä kyllä hommaa, mutta oon tyytyväinen :) Täytyy vielä vaan tutkia tärkkäysmahdollisuutta, kun sateinen päivä plus kuumuus ja hiki sai röyhelöt vähän letkeämmiksi, mutta tuolla se nyt kylppärissä kuivuu muotoonsa kiltisti.

      Thank you! It's hard to tell the size from the picture when not worn. I was actually planning for the ruffles to be a bit shorter, but this is what came out and I'm not sewing another 6+ meters of fabric to shorten it, so it's fine like it is ;P
