OCC Lip Tar in Sebastian

More lip tars! Sebastian is quite an unusual shade for me, a neutral beige. In addition to the lip tar, I bought the matching lip liner, because I had nothing even similar in my collection. The pencil is actually a little bit darker than the lip tar, but it gives a really nice effect of making my lips look fuller and still blends in to the lip tar so that it's not so obvious that the outlines are darker.

Sebastian looks awesome with dark, smoky eyes, but when I tried it with a more neutral eye look, I was amazed that it still seemed to work! On my pale skin Sebastian is dark enough to define my lips nicely, while it's still light and allows for very loud eye make-up.

Sebastian lasts a surprisingly long time on my lips, several hours. And due to the shade being quite light, the wear doesn't show much. It's as to apply as a brush-on product can be. The trick is to use just a tiny bit, so the product sets nicely and doesn't move around. It took me a few tries to get the amount right!

Sebastian is a very unique shade and nice to apply, plus it lasts well. Just what I need in a lipstick!

Outfit of the Day

Finally, my first day of doing what ever comes to mind in weeks! I popped to Aussie Bar for lunch, because I had a gift card that needed to be used. I won it in their Halloween costume competition, so it was about time I hauled my behind there to spend it ;D It's such a lovely sunny day and I'm soon off to celebrate a friend's b-day, so here's just a few pictures of the outfit I wore today.

Shrug - Queen of Darkness (sponsored)
Dress - Killstar Magick Maxi Dress
Belt - Second hand
Boots - Jeffrey Campbell Big Lita

This one is like the coolest picture ever, the wind caught my sleeves!

Outfit of the Day

One last WGT outfit! For the last day, I knew I had to move around the city a lot, so I wanted an easy outfit. I chose a pair of Lip Service PVC leggings and my new gorgeous Queen of Darkness top, the poncho with big collar! It's a long sleeved loose shirt with knitted sleeves and chiffon sides. A wonderful fit and the perfect addition to a slim pair of pants.

Leggings - Lip Service
Boots - Unif High Trench

Still Hunting for Demons

Sorry for the Demon Hunter flood ;D I got finished pictures from the other photoshoot I did at Ropecon with the cosplay outfit. They are very different from the previous ones, but I like both styles. It's interesting to see how many styles of pictures the armour works for.

This one is my favourite, it look so Diablo-ish!

WGT 2015 Part 4

One more day to go and I'm already sad that I have to go back home. I could prance around in PVC and horns for many more days! Yesterday my other half and I tried a great breakfast buffet, complete with everything from salmon to cheese cake. And excellent way to start a day!

For the rest of day we hung around Agra and visited the Heidnisches Dorf medieval village. There's just so much to see and do! Clan of Xymox and London After Midnight played at Agra in the evening, both were great, especially LAM was interesting because I had not listened to them for years. But every time a song started, I remembered at least part of the lyrics, so clearly I still had some LAM fan in me ;D

Now on to some outfit pictures!

This was my outfit for the day and evening. I bought the collar from Agra and it's simply gorgeous! The dress is by Artifice Clothing, corset by DeadlyGirls, pants by Lip Service and boots are Unif.

This one I wore in the morning to go out for some breakfast. The dress is the minidress decorated with zippers by Queen of Darkness, and the shrug is their bell sleeve shrug. The sleeves are gorgeous and you can really stay warm with it! The perfect type of item for a festival: light and can be folded away easily, but is ready for use when temperatures drop during the night.

I also want to show you my new cool purse!

It's a tiny clutch from Queen of Darkness, decorated with faux leather strips and a handle that imitates rings. It's very small, but my keys, lipstick, phone and some money can fit inside, so that's enough to get you through a day :)

Today I'll be going to the Finnish meet and if I'm really energetic, I'll pop to Agra to see if the stalls have nice discounts today. Sixtina Absintherie is also on my list of things to do, but the days go so fast!

WGT 2015 Part 3

Yesterday I spent the day at Agra, finally got my hands on some Met and went to Täubchenthal to listen to some traditional gothic rock. Great bands and delicious cola bier, what more could you ask for?

Today I'm planning to go to Heidnisches Dorf for some more Met and hanging around. In the evening Clan of Xymox and London After Midnight play at Agra, I'll be there!

Yesterday's outfit. I combined Artifice Clothing furry shoulder pads with a super comfy Queen of Darkness dress, Unif boots and a handbag made by Tiina of Rogue.

For the evening I accessorized with some horns! Didn't even poke anyone with them ;D

And this one shows some small accessories at the Queen of Darkness booth at Agra. I'm a sucker for tiny purses, but I have so many of them!

WGT 2015 Part 2

I just love WGT! People dress up so nicely and the whole city is partying all night long. Yesterday I visited the Agra shopping area briefly, had some delicious gyros and listened to a few bands.

If you are at WGT, be sure to check out the giveaway Queen of Darkness is hosting! You can win clothing and accessories worth 1000 euros, so it should keep anyone clothed for a while ;D

Here's some pictures from yesterday!

WGT 2015 Part 1

I'm in Leipzig again! Due to the train strike, my other half and I had more time to spend in Berlin than we had anticipated, so we decided to go on a WW2 bunker tour by the Berliner Unterwelten. I've been to the tour years ago, but it was great also this time!

In Leipzig I only did a little shopping before dinner and going to bed, but today the festival starts, yay!

Ready to head out at Leipzig!

I like the U-Bahns, they are so easy to use and the stations are beautiful. This one is
from the U8 platform at Alexanderplatz.

The local DM store at Leipzig is prepared for goth visitors!

I did some shopping. A few goodies from DM and Douglas, and a book from the Berliner Unterwelten shop.

Finnish Alternative Models Model of the Month

A huge thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for me in the Finnish Alternative Models page's Model of the Month -contest! Can you believe it, I won! I'm now the Model of the Month for May, which means my picture is the profile picture of the page and my blog page will get shared more often.

This is the picture that I participated with. It's taken by Kari Vuorio early 2013 at his studio.

Demon Hunting

Just a quick update! I did a few photoshoots yesterday with the Demon Hunter costume, here's a finished picture for you :)

Face of the Day

A very simple office look! I brought a pile of lipsticks from New York, so I'm having a neutral-eyes-and-bold-lips phase. The lippie is Wet n Wild Fergie lipstick in Ferguson Crest Cabernet, along with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics' Black Dahlia liner. I've recently taken to doing my brows with pink, I think it works better than the black I have worn on them for a while.

What do you think?

Ropecon Outfits

Here's pictures from my extended Helsinki and Espoo trip! Last week I travelled to Helsinki on Monday evening, gave a presentation at the Games First event on Tuesday, went out for dinner with friends on Wednesday, had sushi lunch and went to Kiasma art museum with my brother on Thursday, then checked out the Steam Helsinki bar with the rest of the Ropecon entourage on Thursday evening.

From Friday to Sunday I enjoyed Ropecon, the largest non-commercial roleplaying event in Europe! I've been going to Ropecon for something like fifteen years and it's always lovely. This year was the first time I participated in the costume competition because I had my Demon Hunter armour with me. I also did a few photoshoots in the armour, it's super tiring because it's so heavy to wear, but the results looked gorgeous!

So today I was a good girl and back at the office with work as usual. On Thursday my other half and I are leaving for Leipzig, so no rest for the wicked! And tomorrow I have another photoshoot with the Demon Hunter costume, it will sure feel lovely to wear the huge pauldron when the bruises it left on Saturday are still sore. But what wouldn't I do for some awesome pictures! ;D

Going to Steam Helsinki

Preparing for Ropecon Friday at the hotel.

Friday's Victorian outfit with steam punk-y sunglasses.

I love how well the top made by Tiina of Rogue fits the skirt!

Look at my muscles ;P

Demon Hunter on Saturday.

On Sunday I spent my day in just jeans and a t-shirt for comfort! I always love the variety of stuff to do at Ropecon, this year I learned about the history of piracy, of how Atlas games publishes games, saw a Game of Thrones burlesque performance and listened to a geek choir sing songs from Skyrim, Doctor Who and the Moomins! Nest year Ropecon will be held at Messukeskus, so it's bye bye to Espoo and Dipoli, looking forward to seeing what wonderful things they have there!

Victorian Gothic and Steam!

Since I'm in Helsinki to attend Ropecon during the weekend, my friends and I went to check out the new steampunk bar, Steam Helsinki. It was so dark inside that I didn't get good pictures, but here's a snap of my outfit! I wore the Fan+Friend victorian skirt and a top that was custom made for me by Rogue. The top is made to fit over a corset, so finally I have a top that sits right and does not need adjusting! I really love the skirt, I think I have to get a similar one in a different colour, because while black is beautiful, it does not photograph well. And the skirt doesn't really have to match the rest of my wardrobe, as it needs a special top any way.

They had delicious gin and tonic at Steam Helsinki, I'm definitely going to visit the place again and take a decent camera with me so I can show you the bar shaped like a zeppelin!

Black Metal Dahlia Lip Tar by OCC

Lip Tars by obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics are liquid lipsticks packed in squeeze tubes. This one is called Black Metal Dahlia, the metallic version of Black Dahlia, and it's absolutely gorgeous! I'm wearing the lipstick with the Black Dahlia lip liner. Black Metal Dahlia is just what the name promises: a dark red, like the regular Black Dahlia, but with a metallic sheen. This shade is a real eye catcher, bright and shiny! :)

Haulin' Make-Up

Make-up haul! Getting to a Sephora in the States was like going to a candy store for a make-up enthusiast like me :) I also bought some drug store cosmetics, just because many of the brands are not available in Finland, or even in Europe.

My little baggie of goodies!

Milani Fierce Foil eyeliner in Purple Foil

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion Anti-Aging. This is the new type of package with a wand.

Naked Basics palette by Urban Decay. I tend to need neutral eyeshadows on my business trips, and I've been using
a Naked inspired palette by Coastal Scents. It's nice but not very sturdy. This one should hold up better!

Cover Girl nail polish.

Kat von D Lock-it Tattoo Foundation.

Wet n Wild Mega Rocks Glitter nail polish.

My camera didn't pick up the colour of this lipstick very well for some reason. It's Studded Kiss Poe by Kat von D, a blue based purple with some microglitter.

Drugstore lippies. Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Sangria and Black Cherry, Wet n Wild Megalast lip color in Vamp it Up, and Wet n Wild Fergie lipstick in Ferguson Crest Cabernet. I'm going through a dark lipstick phase as you can see!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics lip tars! From left to right: Black Dahlia, Pagan, Black Metal Dahlia, Anita, Sebastian and Technopagan. I also bought lip liners to match Black Dahlia and Sebastian.

So much make-up! I've previously been mostly into eyeshadows, but now I'm having a lipstick phase. Dark lips appeal to me, and there are so many interesting colours to try. I seem to like dark purples the most, because Black Dahlia liner is almost a dupe for MAC Nightmoth liner which I own, and Wet n Wild Vamp it Up seems to look very much like MAC Cyber, which is already in my collection. I guess I just know what shades I like ;D
